So it sounds like Forrest is going to wrestle in college at 141 or 149. Do we dare get selfish and try to get the Raney twins to be our future at 125/133?
I don’t believe the Raneys are destined for 125. Maybe not even 133.

Edit to add that a guy on PSU forum said earlier that the Raneys had mentioned 141/149 or 149/157 as ideal weights.

Like reincarnated Brands brothers, the Raney's will be Hawkeye champions! (I hope)

I would think Iowa. They have the whole twins thing down.
I have heard Illinois. They are out of northern KY, which may be closer to the Carolina schools, or Virginia schools. UT Chattanooga has a pipeline to that school but they are going to probably go to a school that is tryouts g to contend for a championship

The twins are really good…I feel they will be able to choose almost anywhere they want to go.

Illinois has also had former union county wrestlers wrestle for them. For whatever that’s worth. They are good enough to go to the school who will pay them the most… probably Iowa.

Doubt we get them taking that into account. Forrest says he wants to wrestle at 41 or 49. We have a lot of great options at 57 as well. Penn st looking at taking them?

I am envisioning the future as Vega at 41, Forrest at 49, Robideou(sp) at 57, and Lockett at 65. Lockett will probably grow to 74 at some point.
Lockett is probably one of those guys who you let wrestle at whatever weight he wants (within reason), but agreed that he probably finishes his career at 174 unless he just doesn’t grow much more. Also have no idea what he normally weighs currently

Probably more need than you guys in about 3 years but fitting in twins is tough. I'd say no. I don't think we are on their list anyway.

Can’t wait to find out how good or not Rin is.
Me too, you must be good to win Japan Nationals which apparently, he just did in December before he came back to Stillwater. If he was getting beat badly by Troy, why would he come back? He said in that article he was coming back for 125 but on the roster, he is listed as 125/133. I have said this before, but John described him and Merrill as very good recruits. He described Sakamoto as very fast and quick. Besides the matches last year in the 20 and under Worlds I have never seen him wrestle. I am very curious to see how good he is or hear from someone at practices. Our newspaper people or TV people at his weekly press conferences never ask Coach Taylor that question?

I think 141 and 149 are going to be the stacked weights soon. The Flo guys talked about Jax Forrest and Bo Bassett probably being a possible most hyped finals match of all time. What weight is Marcus Blaze projecting at?

Hype is the correct word. I don't ever see them at the same weight. Blaze will likely always be a weight under Bo.

Blaze is right there. I heard Flo radio say Bo could be a 4 timer. I like Bo, but he would have to go through Blaze and Jax (most likely)

Really, I thought they were the similar. Though Yianni, Daton and Lee were also similar weights right before college (as I remember)

People may talk about Iowa being home of the twins with the Brands brothers but I remember the Keller Twins (Dwayne and Darrell) from back in the day for us. They may not be the first set of twins with 2 titles each but they beat Iowa by a couple of decades (man, I’m getting old)
