Shoulder surgery on the same shoulder. Tough break for the young man.

Reminiscent of some cases in football where retirement preceded playing even a down. Hope that's not the case but shoulders are bad and unpredictable.

Somebody get Vedran Vukusic on the phone. Shoulders suck.

Hopefully he gets the Eschmeyer plan if he wants it.

Think that VV had surgery on the same shoulder twice and he had a pretty dam good career. Still this is to bad and who knows if he can come back also.

This is really sad for Rap and the team. I personally saw him play in hs/barrington and really thought he was going to be a star for NU. Hopefully, that will ring true for the remainder of his career??

Indeed. I believe that sometimes he used to pop the shoulder back in during games. Tough customer.

Seems like NU will never have roster not carrying at least one season-long injury.

This is Rap's second year on IR. Hope he heals and becomes a big contributor next season.

I saw Rap play a few years ago at the Torrey Pines holiday hs basketball tournament I mentioned in my post about Bob Hurley. Rap was impressive in that tournament. I was wondering what was going on with his pt this year. I hope he bounces back from surgery and is able to contribute next year. A big loss for the Cats.

And that was after the second surgery. I never had surgery but had a shoulder that I had similar problems with. It would go out in certain situations and though I could pop it back in, it would be week and I had to be careful for a few days. After seeing my orthopedic surgeon, came up with a good set of specific exercises and haven't had issues in about 10 years.

Had similar issue with a knee after tearing an ACL. They did not recommend surgery (at the time, they would open knee) at the time and it would pop out and I would have to pop it back in. Really inconvenient. Finally had it reconstructed with arthoscopic (sp)about 20 years ago and have not had problems since.
