It's truly amazing to see what others look to get out of their music. I mean I get that rap in general isn't uplifting intelligent dialect that leaves the listener smarter. But Project Pat......ok then!

Smh. Learn beats. I just posted 5 tracks better than 76% of rappers whole careers. And project was the best rapper in that group.

One of the most gangster *** runs of all time. If you don't know and have the first two in your rotation, you really ain't ****.

99- Ghetty Green
2001- Mista Don't Play
2002 - Layin da Smackdown

I was picky even on Cash Money really.

Obviously the first Hot Boyz was :fire:

Other than that I liked a lot of BG and some of the Juvy stuff. Wayne was always hit or miss really and their catchy **** like #1 stunner was fun ****.

I won't knock Project Pat because really I never though much of him and didn't really listen to his stuff but always thought of it as hood rat trap music really.

I may listen to the stuff you posted but the name Project Pat seems to be a road block for me.

Eh, Chance isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the guy is talented. Hard to take a rap thread seriously when the OP didn't even know who Vince Staples was a few months ago. Smh.

Good lord man Cash money beats were some knock off Save A Lot **** compared to Paul and Juice, and that's the simple truth of the matter. I didn't want to say it because there will be hell to pay, but it's the obvious musical truth for obvious musical reasons. You don't even have to dig that deep.

Right, cool. I actually listen to lyrics and typically like things I relate to.

Manny Fresh = Sav a lot beats? Cool

Time to get Mash's thread back on track. I love me a good freestyle...the key is laying down a butt naked beat and let the verses tell the story!

We'll see, that is fire Ghost!

Really that's just something a Project Pat doesn't get. Of course I found some solid stuff for Pat but his songs all follow the same pattern and sound the same.

Gotta admit, I haven't seen so much PP in years! Pat's a 6.5 on the 10 scale to me (just my opinion!) and I'm giving him that much cred because he's from Memphis (and don't get me started on Memphis Bleek!)

Big ups to Lost Boyz...but Black Moon was criminally underrated as a group. Enta da Stage is one of the Top 10 rap albums as far as I'm concerned,

Calling it a night...but tomorrow (as long as it's OK with Mash since it's his thread) let us delve into remixes!

Danny brown is 40 years old and can spit however you want it. These hipster singers can't hold his pecker.

That's a stupid statement. I love both, but Mannie is a genius.

He was basically fast food hip hop. Had a formula, crushed it, pushed mass **** to the masses. He lacked soul, tbh.

I mean, you're comparing independent bosses and pioneers to a dude who got pimped by fn Birdman. We shouldn't compare. It's not fair, and I don't want to have this discussion, but I do want to hurt your feelings. Manny sucks. Deal.
