Rare occasions for you

I watched a movie that I liked all by myself, it was on Netflix, it was called "DeadFall". last time I watched a movie all by myself was in a movie theatre, the movie was inter stellar. I like watching movies all by myself.

what's your rare occasion?

Picking up 18 wings from Richie's and watching sports or DVR, uninterrupted. Twice since June. I'm on a roll.

Rare occasion? Watching a movie with someone else. I don't know too many folks that like the stuff I would say I generally like.

Unless it is some chic flick my wife wants to see or something my kids want to see, I go to the movies by myself quite frequently. My wife can't sit still for a two hour movie and gets annoying. The kids aren't bad but of course they end up needing to go to the bathroom nearly every time or want to ask questions about the movie. If I go by myself it is cheaper, more food for me, and peace and quiet to take everything in.

The rare occasion I like to enjoy is when the wife and kids go out of town for the weekend. I can watch sports uninterrupted, get whatever I want to eat, and crank up the surround sound system while watching movies and gaming.

Same here. Over the past 20-25 years, I've only watched a handful of games with anyone else around. Of those times, most of those occasions turned out to be a mistake. I've mellowed to where I could do it if it's one of the no-big-deal opponents, but if it's a big rivalry game (Loosiers, UNCheat, etc.) or the NCAAT... I need a room and TV all to myself.

About once every year or two I get to play golf all by myself. I always walk and I love it. When I was in high school I worked at London Country Club and when I started at 9 during the summer I would always try to get a round in, of course none of my friends were up so I would play by myself and walk 9. Got to where I could do it in an hour and a half. Still love doing it, but time for golf is rare these days with a family and a job.

It is a rare occasion that I sleep through the night without getting up to piss at least once during the night.

It is a rare occasion when I give my boss a report and he doesn't make any change to it (it's a running joke that he changes things just to feel like he did something).

I remember when I was moving back to KY in 1989 and not knowing anyone. I went to Oxmoor Mall and saw Who's Harry Crumb on a weeknight by myself. I was literally the only one in the theater. I don't know if they didn't care or didn't notice but I propped by feet up on the seat in front of me and smoked during the entire movie.

Having a complete night to myself. The wife never goes out of town with the kids ad all her family lives here. So my whole existence is with the wife and kids. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but would like to go out every now and then.
