good luck with that. SC has been a lower tier SEC team for as long as I can recall.
That's true. The only good run they've had in decades was 2011 thru 2013, where they went 33-6 under Coach Superior.

South Carolina that is. Good luck guys.
So being that SC is our arch rival, what happened (or did not happen) with Rattler. Was it a performance issue, poor attitude, etc or did he just get beat out by a better QB? Thanks

Overhyped. Riley does ok with transfer QB's that were developed by someone else. Not so much when they are his.

I never did see the reasoning for Stogner to leave. As soon as Riley went to USC he announced South Carolina, without even so much as a visit with the remaining coaches. Had he stayed, I bet he would get more catches next year here than at South Carolina. No way to surely know that now, but I'd bet on OU getting him the ball more than at South C.

Shane Beamer was the Tight Ends coach at OU before taking the head coach position at SC. I am sure Stogner and Beamer had a solid relationship and thats why he chose SC.

Stogner was not the same player after the leg injury. Dropped passes when he did get the ball. Hesitancy. Not to say he cannot get straightened out, but his hopeful rebound year never did materialize. Genius Riley also forgot he had talented TEs and their play calls dwindled. Here is to Willis taking over that part of the game.

I wish them the best and hope they do well. Stogner was a good one but not the same after his injury and Rattler needed a fresh start.

The TE position was usually high quality at OU under Bob Stoops, but has been snake-bitten recently with the departures of Calcaterra and Stogner. It would be nice to see it get back to being featured prominently, like the days of Finley, Gresham and Andrews. It should be a high priority for Lebby.

BV will go after and get a different TE. We will throw him the ball, he'll pick up yards after..Boom, another star is born.
Hate losing a good one without one in the fold.
Helms is on the way.

Willis will see time at TE as will the two freshmen TE's Lleyellyn and Helms. Plus, the non-conference schedule is weak to allow the younger players to get playing time.
I thought Willis was a Senior? Made some clutch catches this past year - would love to have him back. Anyone have any idea if we have a Jeremiah Hall replacement? Llewellyn looks too big for that position. Maybe we can sign a large RB out of the portal and spin him down to H-back?
