I don’t think anyone was ever announced RB1 but there was assumption amongst the board he was going to be it (I think). Either way not good with RB room already lacking
I think OP used RB1 since he was RB1 for the bowl game.
As for this coming season, I think Rule will end up RB1 but I don't think he will start out as RB1.

More question marks now for an already very weak RB room. Our RB coach is a sh$t recruiter. Worst coach on the team. Our offense is a huge question mark going into the season. We have very little talent at RB and an overhyped turnover machine at QB. Defensive line still questionable as well. Could be a brutal season.
I think DL will be pretty good, but agree other than that.
It would be SOOOOO NU to have a sold DL this year and then a crap offense.

I was just lining this 2026 RB group against the '95 roster of Green, Phillips, Childs, Benning, 2 Mackovickas and J. Sims listed as the 8th best RB. Do we have one RB this year as good as our 8th best RB Sims that year? TBD. Awesome job Barthel. Maybe just give him a few more years and he'll grow into the job

J Sims used to hang out in my dorm room. Dude was a mystery. He was TOTALLY jacked, never had a shirt on, would play video games with us all the time, no one knew how old he was but he was old enough to buy booze (he was such a funny drunk, like, two shots of Mad Dog 20/20 and he would be drunk)...no one knew where he went to high school...it was amazing.
Sims got into the Fiesta Bowl and looked smooth.... the next day my buddy at work was like "Dude, incredible win for you guys. Who's that like.... 5th or 6th string running back Sims? That guy looks like he could start for several Top 25 teams."
I didn't know if Sims was as good as he looked or Florida was so decimated even I might've looked good in that game behind our line, even with my blazing 5.2 speed

He won the "Practice Player of the Week" award and he carried it around in my dorm room. Dude was a riot.
Sophomore in college and he knocked up a girl who already has a kid with another guy SMH. Should have used some of that NIL money on birth control, instead of taking vacations to Key West.
And you would do anything differently? I doubt it . Pretty easy to judge.
