Just saw a post where Pat M says he is coming back to State College.
Rby had a post on Instagram of the door to rec if I remember correctly.I thought this was on the board awhile ago? If not then I’m not sure where I saw it
Some weirdo hinted at it on a Tucson subreddit and then they made him delete it or something. We should all thank him for his dedication.I thought this was on the board awhile ago? If not then I’m not sure where I saw it
First Gilman, now RBY. What’s going on in Stillwater?
Vega is from the same place as RBY. Wonder if he will follow RBY to State College? Just wishful thinking... ;-)WOW. Awesome news for our program. RBY will help our light to middle weights big time. Elite recruits would be crazy not to join the best program in the World. Bet Gillman talked with RBY. Something don’t seem right at Oklahoma State. Gilman pretty much said so himself. Just happy RBY is back.
The DT/OSU project just seems to lack authenticity. A pure knock off of what Cael has done. For one I can’t seem to get DT and Stilly boys off my timeline. They seem to boost a new post every 30 minutes. I think Gilman alluded to their marketing spend. David is one of the all time greats, wouldn’t follow him into a hot tub full of women as they say.WOW. It’s like DT is the shiny new toy that gets a lot of attention but the lustre wears off andHog wash, he's a spy for DT and he's gonna try and take all the talent out west to his new program for Okie st.
Now I can put my tin foil hat back on. Lol
That shiney new toy coached 3 kids to their first NCAA finals and 2 of them to their first championships. Plus his recruiting prowess seems to be pretty strong and his new recruits wrestled their first competition as though someone had coached them up pretty good. It’s like DT is the shiny new toy that gets a lot of attention but the lustre wears off and
it loses it’s appeal …particularly for those who left something that they realize they can’t get what they want unless they go back to the original place
Is Gilman allowed to coach? Is RBY a sort of backfill even as an athlete?WOW. Awesome news for our program. RBY will help our light to middle weights big time. I didn’t say he couldn’t coach…. hell, contrary to some people, we know Cael can coach too… my point is that after coaching I think there is a deeper level to Cael. As an earlier poster, ForeverIn Blue Jeans, expressed in their comment … he questioned the ‘authenticity’.That shiney new toy coached 3 kids to their first NCAA finals and 2 of them to their first championships. That shiney new toy seems to functioning fairly well.
I don’t know the roles, but I wouldn’t go by the website. It probably hasn’t been updated since the Millard Fillmore AdministrationFor anyone who knows ... what IS Gilman's role with Penn State or the NLWC?
I just checked NLWC website; maybe its not been updated, but no Gilman, no Dake, no RBY?
Who is what ?
I don't know either, but I'll ask Cael the next time I see him. He's usually in a talkative mood...For anyone who knows ... what IS Gilman's role with Penn State or the NLWC?

I heard from some people who had personal encounters with DT that he wasn’t always as friendly as he looks in that photo. However, these episodes occurred while DT was still wrestling for Penn State. Being a head coach for a major program requires a lot of non wrestling skills that involve relating and communicating with other people. It’s totally possible that DT is learning to grow into the role. Personally, I’m hoping he does well. The potential for some real competition for Penn State just makes the sport more exciting.Sitting a few feet from the OSU bench last Friday, it seems like the guys and Taylor really get along. Looks like he has a good thing going.

The Fillmore Administration was not that long ago... he was only the 13th president.I don’t know the roles, but I wouldn’t go by the website. It probably hasn’t been updated since the Millard Fillmore Administration
He should open a camp similar to M-2 that DT had. Started to turn into an elite pipeline for PSU. Takes a guy RBYs caliber. D found plenty of time to workout with the team and NLWC. That’s why you hire other elite guys to help you run your club. I think Mark McNight is running M-2 now. Major drop off in elite wrestlers since DT left.RBY is scheduled to be one of the instructors at the “Champions” skill development program the Saturday before the Lehigh dual. NLWC just sent out the details the other day.
If his goal is to open his own gym, I strongly suspect he will need to be there, a lot, so how much he is involved with NLWC will probably be fluid.
I think he went to Stillwater due to Gilman. RBY had high praise for TG. Pure speculation, but it seems to fit. In SC he can talk directly with others on the specifics related to opening a training facility.
I would guess OkieSt people probably see DT as authentic as we see Cael.I didn’t say he couldn’t coach…. hell, contrary to some people, we know Cael can coach too… my point is that after coaching I think there is a deeper level to Cael. I’ll play. I suspect it will be wrestling/MMA related given his interest in both. Who knows, there might be some guys who want to tag along……….Carter, for example. He should open a camp similar to M-2 that DT had. Started to turn into an elite pipeline for PSU. Not doubting that … but when some of guys he poached from Penn State .. coaches/ wrestlers end up leaving and coming back .. I believe there’s something to be read into those tea leaves.I would guess OkieSt people probably see DT as authentic as we see Cael.
Taylor is w/o doubt a great wrestler with many levels of success and has earned his opportunity in coaching at Oklahoma State. He had a front row seat at PSU to learn from Cael and a wonderful experience with NLWC. The difference between Cael and DT has to do with character. Cael demonstrates beyond reproach behavior. While no one is perfect, he works at it. OTOH, DT took a coaching job and then attempted, as the story is told by insiders, to take some PSU wrestlers with him. While poaching happens in the athletic world, it certainly shouldn't come at the expense of the mentor/employer. I like him a lot less than I did when he was at PSU. Maybe that's just part of viewing non-PSU folks as the enemy. That shiney new toy coached 3 kids to their first NCAA finals and 2 of them to their first championships. This is correct. This was a Anthony Cassar dealThe two champs were pretty good when they got to D.T. Heavyweight lucked out Kerk was on one leg. DT may have helped some but none were chump change before.
