While from a pure wrestling standpoint, this match is meaningless. But, these are two well known guys from MMA and that is helpful to build the crossover audience.
UFC fight pass had college duals for a few years and now this year they're not. True UFC people aren't gonna become wrestling people

I agree. I don’t think RAF is going to be able to expand the fan base outside of traditional wrestling fans at all. But they need to if they want to be successful and it makes sense to try to capture some of the UFC/MMA fan base.
Plus you have to admit Chandler vs Mendez is going to get a little more attention than whatever dual was on UFC Fight Pass.
Kennedy Blades-Rivera title match that was postponed is back on the card for November after Holly Holm had to fill in last time. Tony Cassioppi added as well today. Smart matchmaking, lots of Illinois guys and gals filling up the card. Hope they run a show in Coralville in the new year just to see how many former Hawks they could line up.
And MMA! I think Best D1 guy that gets very little notoriety. An injury took him out of getting 3 titles. So dominating. Brutal physical style. Painful to train with him.
Not sure that's correct he won 2 Cadet worlds but I don't remember him winning Juniors. He's just been a body since 2017
Spencer won’t have to cut weight. Could be one of those 15 second matches if Spencer gets early takedown.
