Wow..Robbinsville passes Tarboro..#1 in State..we're a pretty good team....but not that good.(per Adjusted maxpreps rankings)
Looks about like I thought. I think Andrews can cause some problems in their half of the bracket. Murphy at Robbinsville looms large in 3rd round. Finally, can Mitchell get past a SMC Conference (Swain) team if they meet in 2nd?
That's a good question. This is the preliminary brackets so could something like that get charged? This could have been a mis- print and the just switched Union and Union Academy because they have Union in 1AA and they only have 435

Robbinsville ahead of Tarboro. Common now that’s just comical. Does the state have something with Robbinsville they did the same thing in Volleyball, Robbinsville was ranked 4 on max preps but the state adjusted bumped them to 1st? Can’t make any sense of this.
Yes it has no bearing on how the brackets will play out. However you would think the state would be a little more subtle about having a fetish for the SMC.
Quick question the way it is now would the winner of Polk/Avery be playing East Surry in 2nd round? I don’t really get how the brackets would work out

Yea the winner of Starmount and Avery will be at East Surry in the second round.
Soon as I said that it changed. So that would be the winner of Polk/East Wilkes would be at Mitchell in 2nd round
Adjusted Maxpreps used by the state are a joke. That’s not meant to disrespect Robbinsville in any way, but to have them ahead of Tarboro is asinine.
Not exactly...East Surry beat the defending 2A champs ranked #1 and still didn't move ahead of Tarboro. This isn't the 1st time its happen to Tarboro and it won't be the last. We'll use this as motivation in the playoffs.
