NU will be back at home, and no doubt Collins will tell them this is where they make their stand in this conference. Penn State is a good team -- 70th in KenPom to NU's 60th -- and those who were around last year will remember the Nittany Lions as the team that knocked them out of the Big Ten Tournament.

I know 3-7 in the first half of conference play isn't fun. The alarmist posts here suggest as much. But let's see if NU can bounce back in Evanston in a winnable game. @Iowa will be very tough, then it's home for a suddenly resurgent (but beatable) Rutgers. The Cats can slowly work themselves back into the middle of the pack. Let's try to stay optimistic.

My hope is 6 days off and a steady diet of NSAIDs help Vic's knee and he returns to form, shooting those dagger jumpers. Despite their conference record, PSU is on par with NU and it seems like a coin-flip game. NU should win a close one.

The time off at this point is so valuable. Getting healthy can help a bunch

Penn State had to play OT tonight at home, and it was another bewildering, frustrating loss for them. I like our chances given the short rest they will have an the long rest we will have.

PSU was robbed. There was a clear hack on their last possession in regulation. Officials are becoming more scared to make a call in the last sequence of games, See Saints debacle.

It was clear if refs could use replay, but they couldn't. Team died in OT just like we did vs. Oklahoma. Should be a pickem game Monday.

PSU socred 90 points and took a ranked Purdue into overtime. If that PSU shows up on Monday, we're in big trouble.
It was a real unicorn game, tho. PSU shot extremely well from 3 and the line, two things it has been bad at all season. And the game looked like a scrimmage to start out, Purdue had a consistent 14-17 pt lead and was actually taking their foot off the gas, going deep into the bench. I actually think PSU took offense to that, as what looked like a game that they were going through the motions suddenly turned into inspired play.

In the end, the effort was no more impressive than our home loss to Michigan. They can't close put a game to save their lives, and have a whole host of weaknesses on offense and defense that are easy to exploit. Of course we could lose this game at home, but I would be suprised if we did, well rested against what has to be a tired PSU squad.
