What part of Indiana do you live in? I am from Clinton originally but have lived in Indy (Meridian Kessler neighborhood) for 25 or so years.
I heard Howard is real tight with the Bachmann crew. Being a KD kid hurts Iowa's chances maybe?

O'Farrill doesn't really fit the PSU mold. I am guessing he goes to V Tech with Bassett.

Hutcherson is a must get at 197 to follow behind Ludington. He trains at NLWC and is best friends with Sidun. Not good for Hawks.

Heeg would be a nice get for the Hawks. Kid is a tank.

Not sure on Staples yet. He looked good at Super 32 but the bracket was so so. Not sure what his other accolades are?

Most of the high levels talent at KD has gone to PSU. Gavin Mangano, who is a KD kid, trains with the bachmanns and is close with them and chose PSU. We weren’t recruiting him though, so I’m interested in seeing with us having the Bachmanns and us recruiting Howard if that would have a huge pull.

I really hope with us landing the Bachmanns and Kenny’s help us out greatly with the other east coast boys. I’m sure it will; but time will tell when we can actually recruit the next class.

Anyone from the 165-197 range should be our targets. Howard, Heeg, and Hutcherson. And of course Sammy Sanchez.

Heeg has close ties to both Okie State and ISU so I wouldn’t count on him wearing a Hawkeye singlet.

Doesn't mean much lineup wise but interesting

Honestly have to say, the ENTIRE BS from these guys is a little alarming!!! It is one thing to Commit and flip, just NOT liking them adding GOD/PRAYER as "reason" or what have you!!! This kid came on board and was welcomed. Was obviously a good sign when looking forward at BO. As it turned out, BO did later announce his commit TWOOO IOWA!!!

Not so sure about what this kid said but BO 100% talked about GOD and PRAYER when choosing IOWA!!! I do not have any direct connection to either IOWA or VT, but as far as I can tell. IOWA would seem to be the more "godly" place!!!

I believe that they ALL can kiss my A$$ and should have been up front and honest saying. " Look, we felt/thought we would be able to do somethings that IOWA was not going to allow. Therefor we feel it is better for us to move on."

I could "swallow" that much easier and I am sure there is some reference to HONESTY in the BIBLE!!!

Unfortunately, Hutcherson will have no overlap with Barr and Mirisola will only have one year left, if he hangs around. PSU will be in the market for a top 197, and with him a PA kid with his best bud already probabaly starting for them, I don't see how he goes anyplace else. If Cael decides he's getting a recruit, he usually gets them. Ross may be one of the few, other than Spencer, that he didn't get.

Totally agree. Have the balls to be honest. If God and prayer led him to Iowa, how could he then tell him to decommit 4 months later because Iowa is a bad place for a christian and good person to be. They also should have been totally honest about what they expect from us before committing. They may have been able to take their gang to Okie state, since anything goes there, but after the fiasco with us, I think Taylor and PSU said no thanks. Still think he had it right the first time committing to us.

100% he made a HUGE mistake leaving IOWA!!! I am a B1G believer in the kid, probably more then most. I could see him winning 4 at IOWA. Not sure how it turns out at vt but he loses TONS of market/coverage/fans etc....

There may be more of an opportunity for this kid to see the mat at VT then Iowa, maybe? Or he just wants to be with his friends. The.End.

People who seek acceptance and attention by talking about faith every time they open their mouth are as trustworthy as a priest alone with an alter boy.

Very true. Just trying to think good thoughts on it 😄 🤣. Maybe Bob could help persuade Hutcherson. Just a thought 😄 🤣

What about Boe or Staples? Both of them are probably projected for 165 - 184. Any interest or traction with them? Also as far as Hutcherson goes its not like I know anything about the kid but he likes everything Hawkeye related on IG & didn’t he say his dad & him are Hawkeye fans?

I really like Boe and have watched him over this past year. Staples is good also, personally I have just not seen him do much over the last two years but could be wrong.

I believe you are somewhat correct. I do believe there are people with great FAITH and they live their lives based on what they believe. Then there are others who use religion in ways that it should not be used!!!

I think he's a 184 in college he's still young and going 175 this year
He may be able to hold 174 for 1 year after Gabe graduates and Angelo is a senior. I don’t even like talking about those two guys being gone, but can’t be caught with big holes like on the past. May not be a really talented one year transfer available, or you may not get them.

Well after this year and next in High School and a redshirt he will need to be 174 for one year at either school. And I am hearing 175 is with not much problem. He is only 15 though so he may keep growing quite a bit.

You can post this 15 more times. He is not going to listen.

You think a kid at 175 as a junior in high school is a reasonable prospect for 174 three years from now?

He’s 16, which is young for his grade for a wrestler.

No. It’s normal.

Point is, he wasn’t “redshirted “ in junior high like many wrestlers. He’s normal age for his grade, assuming his birthday isn’t late spring. Melvin miller, in the same grade, has turned 18 already.

This I can agree with. The vast majority of wrestlers aren’t doing that. They are at the normal age for their grade.

So he went from still being 15, to being young for his grade to now being normal age?
