What if they just went because they were in the area and wanted to catch to dual?![]()
Nice to hear there was more than 1.

People are going to be happy soon. Be patient folks
I know last year we didn’t get our first big commitment until February, but most of us are so impatient for good news after the collapse of the 26 class
I wouldn't expect many recruits to attend a Thursday dual against bellarmine, hell a majority of the fans didn't even show up.
Instead of getting on people for getting too invested or making fun of people(other people in this thread) because of recruiting maybe we should be thankful people still care considering attendance is starting to drop off and there’s some apathyThere's likely recruits at every Iowa dual. Some of them are 6 years old currently, but that wasn't the point.
See Nick Saban, Jay Wright, Tony Bennett, the new Manager of the San Francisco Giants, etc. What do these men have in common? They got out of the College $$"recruiting"$$ game while the gettin' was good, with their SANITY largely intact.
To Summarize: Don't let College Athletics recruiting drive you insane.
This is a Public Service Announcement NOT brought to you by ESPN, the Big Ten Conference, etc. (they don't care as long as you watch and pay up, which we most assuredly do).
Have a good day Sir.
Spoke like a guy who just, " let some juice get loose"Iowa wrestling recruiting = fart noise
Iowa gets Bo & Melvin for a hot minute and they decommit = wet fart
This board = shart
What evidence do you have that attendance has dropped off?Instead of getting on people for getting too invested or making fun of people(other people in this thread) because of recruiting maybe we should be thankful people still care considering attendance is starting to drop off and there’s some apathy
One meet, on Thursday night with a 6pm start time vs a program where there were expected to be zero competitive matches. What evidence do you have that attendance has dropped off?
Season tickets coming nowhere close to selling outWhat evidence do you have that attendance has dropped off?
You need to turn your reading comprehension dial about 6 clicks to the right. Or consider which educational facility failed you and take some night courses to compensate. I wish you well in your endeavors.Instead of getting on people for getting too invested or making fun of people(other people in this thread) because of recruiting maybe we should be thankful people still care considering attendance is starting to drop off and there’s some apathy
The large ticket price increase had nothing to do with it.Instead of getting on people for getting too invested or making fun of people(other people in this thread) because of recruiting maybe we should be thankful people still care considering attendance is starting to drop off and there’s some apathy
Lots of “coach speak”. These kids have been Hawks for some time. Excellent fits, on and off the mat.I don't believe it's been confirmed that Bachmann/Kenny are committing to the same school.
(Willie's tweet just says they'll be making their decisions 'together' on the show.)
That said, of the schools both wrestlers have officially visited, I believe there are only two in common - both of which they visited together this fall.
The first is Rutgers - where they actually saw the Iowa football team get a win that Friday night in Piscataway. And the second is Iowa, the final OV for both of them just 15 days ago.
Bachmann also took visits to Cornell, Ohio State, Missouri, Iowa State and Lehigh.
Kenny's other visits were to Virginia Tech and Nebraska.
Definitely wasWell was it worth the wait?

Morningstar deserves a bunch of credit people underestimate his recruiting abilities. Those who don't fully understand everything always bring up his name to be replaced. I always laugh because those people are clueless to what really goes on![]()
TNT completely showing out in recruiting. Early in their careers the Bachmann's were thought to be a PSU lock. And now with the 250 mile rule lifted????

How massive that is for the program cannot go understated.. Will help tip the scales for us in MAJOR way.![]()

With the 250 mile rule lifted, will these boys spend most of their time training in Iowa City? Take online classes and spend a long time training in IC? Come home for the weekend for the big tournaments? How massive that is for the program cannot go understated.. Will help tip the scales for us in MAJOR way.

Or is this not a thing? Man, I’m sure the boys will benefit greatly from practicing with our high level athletes. Also, to have the Bachmanns, Kenny, Borge, Youngblut, and Bobby Duffy practice with each other and with senior athletes would be great for their development!
Borge only has his brother to practice with, so I’m sure the RTC practices would help him jump levels immediately.
Would Amato be visiting the RTC a lot? Or do you guys not see that as much?
Just excited for the season and the future, great time to be a Hawkeye fan!
Joey was in town for the Bellarmine dual. He has spent lots of time the last few months between Iowa City and AmesAlready have…at least in one case. I believe Joey said something to that effect.
