Why would he have to make 125? Who’s he an underdog to at 133? I just wonder how long he can hold 133.

I definitely dont think thats set in stone. He could end up at 133. I don't see him pushing out Vega who is currently #2 at 141 & Vega isnt big enough to make 149 if they have a hole its with Ramirez at 133
Vega is big and probably doesn't hold 141 next year either. Jax has talked about how making 61kg was tough for him
Someone is gonna get left out. Vega moves up to 49 than what happens to Jordyn Raney? If Jordyn moves up there’s Robedeu and if Robedeu moves up there’s Lockett. Someone will be left out unless all those guys get on DT’s magical weight gain program and can bump
Raney brothers will have RS available. Someone is left out regardless that's the goal build depth . Years ago guys were left out all the time and couldn't go anywhere they just had to stay and battle. Just like this year Jamison will be back soon.
Almost forgot about Jamison. He needs to move up to 149. He may be one of the first talents to leave okyst next year. When Raneys committed to them , they said they talked to Forrest and have it all worked out how they will all fit in the lineup. They forgot Taylor has been stockpiling other top light to middle weight talent.
I had some business dealings with his parents a few years back. His mom wanted him to go to Penn State. His dad was always pushing the Ivy League education, hoped he’d end up at Harvard. Not sure where he’s leaning now but staying closer to home would make a lot of sense.
Distance from home definitely wasn’t the reason for leaving, but the only schools he was serious about were all out east. Did he take a visit to any Midwest school?

So to put an end to the Rick Steves portion of this thread and get back to where Knox ends up... seems we have a difference of opinion on his interest in iowa. One well positioned poster says it's possible to iowa, other one says he is no iowa based on said schools of interest he listed. Are we placing any bets?
Im not sure Corby said there was no Iowa interest by Knox, just that Iowa hadn’t reached out. If Knox believes he’s a career 125 and we have Deluca i can see why there would be no interest. But if Knox thinks 133’s an option, well we’d be dumb not kicking the tires!

I believe his comment was that Iowa was not on the list of five schools that Knox had said he had an interest in.
I don't believe Knox has publicly given a list. I think Corby was saying based on his info Iowa was not among the teams who had contacted
Asked a guy who is usually in the know what he knew about the Knox situation & Iowa's involvement. He said he wasn't sure but would be really surprised if they hadn't reached out because of T&Ts desire to have a stronger footprint in New Jersey & the already good relationship between the Knox's & DeLuca & Luddington
I know that it was mentioned in a post long ago, when Knox was early in his hs recruitment, before Cornell, that he had an interest strongly in iowa. If that was true, makes sense that he might still be looking this way.
Right, and it’s hard to believe they wouldn’t reach out to talk about weight class and fit. That’s why I trust my info that there is interest.

Willie was talking about it on his pod this morning didn't say really who was interested or like a school list basically said that if one of knox or Deluca thinks they could make 33 then the Hawks should definitely be all over him. Said he thinks it will be a big school cause Knox would probably want a decent NIL deal
My guess is MIZZOU, especially since we are really crowded around his weight with the recent commitments.
MIZZOU made an extra home visit and he would fit nicely in the lineup. But aye, he may choose UNC. We will see.
