Some high school pigskin football athletes just have the measurables to compete at the D-1 level. Even with a low football acumen, they can serve the goals of the team simply because they are pure freaks of nature.

Take C. Jones for instance. He recently weighed in at 317 lbs before he was allowed to test out the diving board at the Mullen Estate.** Sources have quoted Jones running approximately 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

But let me introduce to Matt Elam. As I perused the Scout page, I noticed that the #14 DT from Kentucky listed State as a school of interest. As I checked his measurables, 6'6" @ 340+ lbs, I noted that 6'6" is too tall to play DT according to SPS football arm-chair experts.** But I saw that he is credited with 4.42 in the 40. I concluded that, unless this is a typo, State might be able to find a place to play. But I have failed to find another site to verify that 40 time.

State has failed to offer to-date the Pre-Season Kentucky Mr. Football.

What are you even talking about? I'm sure Mullen weighed the risk/rewards of spending time pursuing this guy (with offers from all over the country, and no ties to MSU at all). We're much better served utilizing our time finding our 'freaks of nature' inside the borders of the state of MS and the immediate surrounding areas.

You might really be the worst of the worst, pal.
