Recruiting Class

Quick question. Unless a kid who just committed enrolls in January, can’t he enter the portal then, too? Also, late signing date is in February. The portal is where the action is nowadays in CFB. Not HS recruiting. I’m not worried about PSU “missing’ a HS class . We’ll see in January and February. Classes start on 1/12, I believe, so the first ten days will be wild. Calendars need to be synchronized…

Who needs a recruiting class or the portal for that matter either, let's do like Texas A&M, but instead of "The Twelveth Man" we could call it "The Twenty-Two Men". Every Saturday get 22 volunteers out of the stands. Voila! Problem solved! No HC needed, the QB calls the offense and the MLB calls the defense, just like on the sandlot.

Maybe that’s the plan - let some other school/coach spend time and effort with a raw high school recruit with a lot of potential first. Not the traditional "PSU way" of doing things but those days are unfortunately gone.
