I did a very unscientific study to see how many kids from each recruiting class end up seeing any significant playing time by the time they graduated. I went back as far as many sites kept a list of recruits. (1999) From what I can tell on average between 6-10 players from every class end up seeing the field. Or around 25-30% .
So keeping that in mind which 6-10 players from this class do you see contributing the most. Mine

Wandale Robinson.
Gates
Ty Robinson
Mills
Henrich
Benhart
Chase
Hickman

Hopefully more than that as this class overall is better talent than wevew had. Hopefully there will be a lot on special teams.

I was sort of curious about that, so thanks for taking the time to research. My only nit picky critique is that I think the % is more like maybe 35-40% on average, since some of those classes were smaller- I thought we had classes before that were like 18 (I could definitely be remembering incorrectly, though!). So just taking the low end of 6 contributors over the low end of class sizes is 33%.

Again, I may be remembering incorrectly, and if i weren't trying to get at least a little bit of actual work done today, I would research the sizes myself because this is something I'm curious about.

We're all optimistic around these classes, especially at this time of year, but I'm calling it now that more like 10-12 kids from this class end up making an impact.

You are right, looks like the average is about 23. So 26%- 43%. So meeting in the middle approx 35%

Nice work...our percentages on these first 2 classes should be a little higher with our smaller classes of seniors and juniors on the roster

It's weird to go back and look at some of the older classes and see names that never panned out that were "must haves".

Saw George Guidry and a number of others. Chris Rainey was another big name.

I know that is what I was thinking too. Lots of big names that never made it.
