So I havent seen any mention in the open position or the one we filled. Who takes over for Ryan Held for coordiantor duties? God knows we need far more attention directed in recruiting.
It's already been announced that Joseph handles the recruiting coordinator role. (Well, at least it was stated so in some of the newspaper articles.)So I havent seen any mention in the open position or the one we filled. Who takes over for Ryan Held for coordiantor duties? Well remember Held was the recruiting coordinator. Just because a coach is the official coaching recruiting coordinator doesn't mean he can't be out on the road. They have recruiting staff personnel that do all the administrative type legwork. It isn't the official coaching recruiting coordinator who does that stuff.Joseph is not the recruiting coordinator. Look at Huskers.com He was thought to be that but that role is still open. You do not want your best recruiter as the recruiting coordinator. You want him out talking to the kids not in the office managing the stuff.
True. Why does his bio not say anything about him being our recruiting coordinator?Well remember Held was the recruiting coordinator. Beats me but sometimes it takes a while to catch things up when staff changes are being made. Personally, i don't think it really is that big of a deal one way or the other. IMO it's more of a title granted because that's needed to justify salary differentials. The real recruiting coordination work is done mostly by the administrative staff with specific guidance from each position coach.True. Why not hire someone in support staff to do the "Coordination"??

They always have the administrative staff do all the recruiting legwork. But they also always have one of the assistants designated as the official recruiting coordinator. I don't believe there's really much extra work involved for that assistant. Why not hire someone in support staff to do the "Coordination"??

But back to the point that generally you don’t want a strong recruiter as recruiting coordinator. Busch is a monster of a recruiter. Him and Joesph would be our dudes on the road. Beckton would make sense. My guess is Beckton or Busch if he comes on as ST coach.
