The Oline got their 5th commit and hearing they have a good shot at a Juco Oline guy and moving Juergens to Center should help the future. Getting 3 new running backs with Washington, Wyatt, and Miles give me optimism. TE backups looked solid yesterday. WR, I am nervous after losing Stan and JD only proven WR and hope he doesn't go to the NFL early. Only 1 WR recruit currently and the WR backups didn't do much yesterday with some high recruits on a milk carton.
Defense need a big time pass rusher and better man to man coverage without this give 5 yards of space type of defense. Oh well, I guess if you can score 40 plus points a game don't need a great defense to win.

Big time playmakers are needed. I think Wandale fits that bill. We are in desperate need of pass rushers. We’re after a kid from Independence Juco. Not sure what type of impact he would have from day one.

How many pass rushers do we need? We recruited Guy Thomas and Caleb Tannor almost exclusively for their pass rush ability. We have some OLB's that should be able to help out. We're recruiting long, lanky DE's that can develop into good pass rushers. I'm not seeing that we're in desperate need of pass rushers that might only play on 3rd downs.

Guy Thomas has hardly seen the field. Tannor has shown glimpses early. But we cannot rely on those two guys alone. In a 3-4, you need pass rushing LBs. Barring Tannor making big strides, we have not found an elite OLB yet. We need to recruit 2 this year.

I guess I need to really clean my glasses and contacts based on what I am seeing on the field this season.

I'm curious what positions Garrett Nelson and Garrett Snodgrass will play. Not sure where they project in the 3-4 defense.

Our top rated visitors from here on out are all defensive players with a couple dline tweeners...not sure we can get um but they sure are going to try...and Frosty is in charge of recruiting some of them.

Are there any good recruits from Iowa Western CC? I thought their Dline was supposed to have some highly ranked recruits.

Don’t forget potential decommitments from other teams.. Heard USC might be searching for a new coach.. Also, what about the transfer portal? The one that Greg Bell is on. Wouldn’t be surprised if we tap into that.

We are going to have some grad transfers, and will probably have some names people have heard of before.

Earlier in the year I say O line is priority #1. We have looked a bit better the last few games. Will see how the weekend goes. As of now I will move that to #2. Right now I say priority #1 is getting guys who can get to the QB.

Oline is a bit slower build outside of the JUCO/grad transfer route. NU needs guys on the front 7 that can get the QB right now and next year and the next year.

Yeah, the OLine the last couple of games certainly stepped up somewhat (thank God!). Still a long, long ways to go though. Still #1 priority for me.

Did you see the article about JD and his dad. Sounds like the NFL scouts are chomping. But I would imagine we have at least another season. Couldn’t imagine him only using two years of eligibility at his size.

With limited spots left we do still need a little bit of everything almost: OL, DL, DB, OLB, WR.
It’ll be fun and maybe nerve-racking to watch how it pans out.
The trenches are still where it’s at for me at the moment, but Ty Robinson and maybe another NT plus OL would really ‘ease the strain’.

f-ing diaco jokes... I’m gonna go vomit.
