DE Ron Tatum, a UT commit, is visiting with his mother this weekend and likes the new facilities. He is joined by DB Patrick Fields, an OU commit. His mom wants OU, his dad wants UT.
DL Dillon Faamatua, a JUCO who originally was at Arizona State before committing to USC (but then he would have to sit out for two years), is visiting OU sometime soon. He could be eligible for the 2017 season if OU gets him.

CtOkie, is Ron Tatum the Oklahoma kid prospect that committed to Texas? Would be very nice if he could change his mind to OU.

Yes, but Coach Thibodeaux is not giving up. If Tatum's mother wants her baby to play his football close to home, that can be the last word.

Switzer said he could have recruited Earl Campbell had it not been for Earl's mother.
Winning over a mother is a key part of recruiting, to say the least.

Barry Switzer won over Keith Jackson by recruiting his mother if I remember right. It was the story that Barry showed up and talked to his mom the entire visit about cooking, then at right as he was leaving he told his mom if he comes to OU he will take care of him.

Switzer's stories are the greatest!! Lol :D
