I have been following Powerade on Flo and after watching Shapiro and Mullins wrestle , both look very impressive. Love that Davis has committed, (possible future 133.) I would love to hopefully see Shapiro(157?) and Mullins join Davis and commit as well. Sorry we didnt see McGowan wrestle. He is also one I hope they can bring on board as well. I have heard all three on being pursued.

Add to the list -- who PSU is known to be recruiting:

2023: Caden Horwath (MI lightweight), Josh Barr (MI 174/184), Gabe Arnold (Blair). Two are Facundo's HS teammates.

2024: Mason Gibson.

PSU is a finalist for all Barr, Arnold, and Gibson. Horwath hasn't produced such a list.

It’ll be interesting to see how all these weights may shake out if PSU gets a few of these kids. Don’t forget they already have Levi Haines committed for 2022 class and his targeted weight is TBD since he’s jumped multiple weight classes every year in varsity competition.
Again, don’t overlook Tyler Kasak from Bethlehem Catholic in the 2023 class. He trains at M2 also.

I thought the smoke said Iowa had momentum for Arnold. Either way, we have something to be excited about soon it seems.

Weren’t Kolby Franklin and Arnold considered a package deal earlier in the recruiting process? Or am I thinking of two others?

"Package deals" are all hype, no substance. They almost never happen except with relatives.

Gabe Arnold was a package deal with TJ Stewart. TJ Stewart already signed with Virginia Tech so unless Gabe Arnold is planning a total fakeout, that was just for fun and not real.

I also got a sense that it could be more than 2 commits announcing. Arnold is definitely one. Not sure where yet. Love to see Shapiro and McGowan commit to PS!

Willie on his show today said it is between Nebraska and PS for Tyler Kasak. Kasak is a talent and trains at M2. with David Taylor. Hope he comes to PS. Willie also said McGowan is wide open and has a list of 7 schools. PS in one of them. Some thought with Davis coming he was out of the picture, but he is not. Another Willie nugget was Levi Haines is probably more of a 157/165 wrestler. Many have said he would be in a higher weigh class. Looks like that is not he case and could solve 157 for PS.

I’ve been saying not to sleep on Kasak for a while now.

I'd love to see Shapiro at PS!. I hear Cael is pursuing him. Haven't heard where he is looking outside of PS and Nebraska.

Willlie says Caden Horwath is also a possible recruit. El Jaffe mentioned the same above earlier. He recently beat Davis and is a teammate of Facundo and Barr. That's an interesting connection.
