His cancer put a big dent in his ability to recruit. He's been one of the "influencers" on some of those kids from Florida we've been getting who aren't linebackers.DeWitt much more so than Ruud. Ruud has a nice haul last year, DeWitt has done basically nothing on the trail since he arrived.
The way I heard it was that one of the other assistants insisted that Bo offer him when they looked at him. In any case, he was a guy that a lot of programs dismissed because of his lack of size.Jeff Sims (then Ft Scott head coach) begged Bo to take a look, Ekeler thought he was too small, but he got on campus and impressed the coaches.
It’s really an unfortunate situation, that has left our OLB situation in a very bad position. His cancer put a big dent in his ability to recruit. He's been one of the "influencers" on some of those kids from Florida we've been getting who aren't linebackers.
Yoshi Hardrick. For some reason I was thinking it was somebody from the offensive side of the ball. We were recruiting a teammate of LaVonte's for offense I think too. Beck maybe?
I'm not sure if we know right now if our OLB situation is all that bad. We've got one kid who is injured and redshirting who will play out there probably. IMO, Snodgrass could maybe play out there. Others have said Henrichs could. The Wright kid is a really big safety. Nelson is going to be a stud there IMO. We'll have some options I think but they'll be young. I'm guessing Tannor and Nelson will be our starting outside linebackers next year. We need to add some depth. It’s really an unfortunate situation, that has left our OLB situation in a very bad position.
Besides Mike Rozier and Lavonte David...who else has been a successful Juco player for the huskers? It seems as though Frost is batting zero on that front.
So as it turns out the list is long. Overall when we've been selective and not just thrown sh$$ at the wall like Callahan and Frost both had to do their first years, we've had very good success with our JUCO players. Mills was a good addition this year and filled an immediate need. Hopefully we can find a pass rushing OLB and a big time WR this year. I would like another BIG bopper RB to fill Mo's spot if he doesn't come back. A 230 lber running a 4.5 would be niceGomes.
Terrell Farley sends his regards. Cut short and all that, but still magical in '95.Besides Mike Rozier and Lavonte David...who else has been a successful Juco player for the huskers? It seems as though Frost is batting zero on that front.
that's why i asked the question ...I couldn't remember the successful juco guys we had..Terrell Farley sends his regards. Cut short and all that, but still magical in '95.
Kaden Johnson still technically on the board. That’d be huge, but I’m not holding my breath.
Got to get more LBs for sure and have been striking out left and right.
Why in the actual hell are you comparing Alabama and Nebraska right now? If you want to piss yourself off and make your day worse, great plan. That's not reality. Nebraska doesnt play guys as soon as they walk on campus and it is truly a head scratcher when you look at what they trot out on the field. Compare Nebraska with Alabama this year. Alabama is regularly playing 5 freshmen on defense with a roster completely loaded with 4 and 5 stars, while Nebraska thinks you have to redshirt every single person. Complete stupidity if you ask me....
I was getting nervous about OLB recruiting until I saw this kid is visiting.....this kid is ideal for a Big Ten game as a 3-4.
