We'll see where we are when the games are played. I predicted an improved record this year, and I predict ones for 2020 and 2021 as well. Because I actually trust that we have the right management in place, just as I did with Fitz and Dr, Jim in 2013-2014. The road to systematic improvement always has bumps in it...

PF had five straight bowl appearances, several B1G seasons above .500 and a ten win season. 2014 was terrible execution and coaching played a role. So really, 2013 was a blip, a true letdown.

CCC has one postseason appearances quite sometime ago. Has he had an over .500 season in the B1G? If anything, his one post -season - played w pivotal players from prior regime and due largely to a freak play - seems to be the blip.

The reality is settling in that CCC will not be the savior for NU BB that some of us has hoped. He would make a great assistant coach heading up recruiting but he simply is over his head trying to win at a challenging place like NU.

yes. its possible that NU only takes one prospect in 2020 to set up for a big 2021

Haywood, any idea whether Ajogbor would have been a developmental/project kind of guy or - on the low end - a solid contributor on his way to starting later in his career?

With the ongoing spin often out here, don't worry if you don't want to answer.

Anyhow, thanks for the insight.

Much harder to make an NCAA tournament that a bowl game, imo and CC did that-- not bade for a man who was "over his head" as you put it, in only his 4th season as a head coach!. Not only that, CC has already shatter a bunch of coaching records here. No offense, but I'll side with Dr. Jim over you on the issue of whether he is the right man for the job. Just as was the case with football in 2013-14, I think we will be sitting around 5 years from now having a good laugh at these threads...

:(Do we need to crater the entire athletic department and start over?
