Ahhhhh, i dont remember some of the chatter during Suriano xfer.
I am blinded by his screen name....
As i said before...Grandpa work at Johnstown Steel
Soft spot in my heart fir JoJohnstown
Feel free to go over to the PSU board and look at my history. I rarely talk about Rutgers and have a great relationship with Rutgers fans that visit there. As for Suriano, I had no problem with him leaving PSU if he didn't want to be there. I also rather see kids of his quality that PSU fails to get go to schools like Rutgers who are not yet at the same levels as Iowa, Ok St. in terms of being a threat. I think they could be tho.

That's a shame about Peterson. He was right there for years in the mix. I really would have enjoyed seeing him get over that hump in a Rutgers singlet but I'll be cheering for him no matter where he wrestles.

If it’s true, that Peterson is leaving. I just hope he isn’t doing so believing the staff screwed him over by not throwing the challenge brick.

Thought they had Deluca coming in, guess he will RS. Can’t blame Dean for leaving if the bag was good enough and the history Iowa has at lightweight… I’m wishing Dean the best but it will be pretty telling of the coaching staff if Dean finishes as a high AA over there….
I'll be curious how Soldano does too, depending on where he lands.

Was it telling of the coaching staff when Yara, Bulsak, etc. transferred in and became AA’s?

Peterson was a round of 12 guy twice here, he should improve. Multiple AA’s are graduating, just about all of the COVID kids are gone from all weight classes. There will be a ton of AA spots open next year. Him jumping a level at Iowa doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have done it here as well.

He got thrown a bag a took it. I don’t blame him. That’s all this is.

We did a good job of getting R12 transfers into AA status. And Peterson was a 2x R12 here, he coulda easily became an AA on a good day. Just saying if Peterson looks like a completely diff wrestler at Iowa it’s all credit to them, they have an amazing track record at the light weights.

Agree, we cannot tout taking Yara and Bulsak to AA status and then say if Dean AA's at Iowa he would have AA'd if he stayed here. He had 3 chances here and did not AA, if he does it at Iowa, all the credit to them.

He may very well do so with Ayala, Lee and Desanto as partners.

Correct, if Dean just AA he coulda easily just did that here…..I’m just saying if he looks like a completely diff wrestler we just gotta tip our hat to Iowa’s staff.

Well, I was saying even if Dean AA's at Iowa....they deserve the credit. Just like we take credit for Yara and Bulsak transferring in and then AA'ing. Yes, Dean could have done it here, but he did not and if he AA's next season even if it is a 7/8 place....Iowa should get the credit just like RU taking credit for our AA transfers.

Correct, even if Dean low AA 7/8 or even 5/6 he coulda easily did it here his sr season. I’m just saying if he looks like a completely diff wrestler , National contender all season type. We just gotta tip our hats to Iowa’s lightweight development.

He has a good shot every match.. big ceiling.
Correct, I’ve always believed Dean can beat anyone on a good day. And he has beaten Ramos, LL etc but then he will take some puzzling losses. I’m just saying if Dean suddenly looks like an undefeated national finalist type then it just is what it is.

Right, but credit to the Iowa staff doesn’t mean it’s an indictment on the Rutgers staff, just like when guys transferred in here and jumped a level it wasn’t an indictment on the previous schools.

Iowa’s one-year rentals don’t have a great track record of staying healthy and improving though. Peterson will be just as likely to go 0-2 at nationals as he is to AA.

Look no further than Teemer and Parco 2 weeks ago. Of course, Buchanan did win a title there so there is some evidence he could AA.

Hopefully Peterson can stay healthy, but shoulder harnesses and knee braces are standard attire at Iowa these days.

Nah . I am not concerned what you do on other boards.
I am about as easy going as you can imagine.
If i get upset I do what every man does...Internalize it so it tears me up inside ")

Unfortunately, I am a pessimist at heart.
I try not to bad mouth wrestlers or other opinions.

I do have a bucket list item to attend PSU WHiteout game. The atmosphere looks insane.
Just have to pick a team that will beat them.....which means when they face a top 10 team

That's a poor argument given both suffered injuries.

Was Buchanan's title worth the $$$?
Go read post #2748 where I acknowledge Buchanan’s title and Iowa’s propensity to burn their guys out. Some improve after transferring to Iowa, but most end up with dates at the orthopedic surgeon.
