We will be eating our words in a few years when Meeks is named to the 50 greatest nba players of all time.

OFC

Whoever gets Meeks will immediately be a contender for the NBA championship for years to come. Maybe that's what the Knicks are holding out for to get themselves into position to draft the big man." With the number one draft pick in the 2016BA draft The New York Knicks select Kennedy Meeks from THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA." OFC

Didn't see this posted elsewhere on the site. DeAndre Ayton is generally considered the top recruit regardless of class. Though he's currently in the 2017 class, there's been talk of him reclassifying to 2016...(mixtape here: )

Ayton is WCS with better shot and passing. Guys like this should just go pro IMO. He's obviously an NBA talent. What's the point of college for someone like this, assuming his main goal is hoops?

Couple quick updates on Dennis Smith (http://zagsblog.com/duke/duke-goes-three-deep-for-dennis-smith/) and Frank Jackson (http://usatodayhss.com/2015/frank-jackson-byu-mormon-mission).

Not getting a quick decision with Jackson - he's taking an official to UA in August and then Duke sometime in the Fall.

Duke has also recently started recruiting Sacha Killeya-Jones (http://247sports.com/Player/Sacha-Killeya-Jones-69960) and Rawle Alkins (http://247sports.com/Player/Rawle-Alkins-35844). Jones plays PF and may be depth or a backup option to Giles, while Alkins plays SG and may be a replacement for Tyus Battle.

Duke won't get Dennis Smith unless something drastically changes- i guess it could but dont hold your breath. Jackson is taking his final visit to Duke. At this point, i'd be surprised if he doesnt choose Duke, but there is still time, we're in great great shape with him.

The other two are more recent developments to which i can't really tell you what will or might happen. I dont see Jones coming to Duke, but i could be wrong.

Disagree with you about Dennis Smith, I think deep down he wants to play for Duke, He could already sign with Carolina and State. He is good enough to start at Duke next season, and he knows it. Love to see the heels get him, but it looks like a Duke,State battle, Duke has the edge.

Out of curiosity, are we recruiting Tre Jones? We seem to do well with brothers of past players.

Frank Jackson is visiting Duke this weekend. He is down to BYU, Utah, Stanford, and Duke.

Check out this dunk at the Under Armour event.

I'm gonna say it and most likely a lot of you will disagree but if given the choice between Jackson and Smith I pick Jackson and Smith's injury doesn't factor in. I just feel that Jackson is more in the Duke mold than Smith. OFC

don't worry no top recruit is going to UNC anytime soon...their future will be a bunch of Luke Mayes and struggling to make NIT after their postseason bans!

as for smith definitely a decent chance he goes to state but I won't care as long as long as Thornton decides to stay...I'd prefer a 2nd year Thornton (After 1 year learning from Coach K) over a 1st year Smith anyday

I couldn't seen both of them co-existing as I feel both of them would want to be the alpha PG on their team
hope you are right about the tarholes

They're going to completely strike out in 2016, regardless of what that jagoff Gary-7 tries to tell the Carolina board. Recruits aren't even giving Carolina a look. The scandal plays a part, but there is a growing consensious that Carolina players don't develop and get better in school. There are innumerable examples to point at as well

They're so hopeful that Smith Jr and Adebayo go to UNC...I think they're also still waiting at the fireplace for Santa to bring them their presents

"Anyway, all the positive stuff I posted on Carter is, well, even more positive after what I heard this weekend. I don't want to talk too much out of school, and I'll leave the predictions to Clint and Rob and the other pundits, but suffice it to say I feel very, very good about our chances with big Wendell... and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened sooner rather than later."
247 begs to differ...http://247sports.com/Player/Wendell-Carter-Jr-34743
Also, for a player who has Harvard on his list with a 3.9 GPA and believes academics to be important, he'd be considering UNC because...?

It's just more proof how how delusional and pathetic Gary is. Carter ain't goin' to Carolina. Bank on that

Don't forget about Wayne either staff has visited him 4 weeks in a row and will again next week. He is also coming to C2C so after that visit I expect duke will pull ahead of the terps.

Yeah, I just figured Maryland was gaining ground with him, maybe as duke was shifting attention over to delaurier and bolden. He's definitely not off the radar though

Here's a thought. Right now it looks as though HOF Coach is going to miss out on 5 and most 4 star recruits for a while which does mean he won't have any one and dones. . So if he could pick up a few 4 stars here and there and get some solid 3 stars who mature and keep these players 3 to 4 years he could in a couple of years be very good. OFC

Perhaps, but this assumes he can develop those kids.
