Reds Zone Old Red Guard is the large Reds forum that might have someone who wants to take their family to GABP this weekend.
I'm a member there but I hate the layout so I hardly ever post.
The layout is a little outdated, but it is simple. I wish they had more features to post links, videos, images and social media posts for updates and highlights like they do here. That is where RZ is lacking the most. Other than that, works fine for me to discuss the Reds.
My simple issue with RZ is it doesn't give you notifications. I have no idea if someone responded to me or liked my post without going searching for it.
I am fine with that actually. A lot of people over there just want to engage in pissing contests. I just make my point and move on.

I agree, there is definitely a lack of good baseball discussion to be had out there. Just made a post on RZ in a Graham Ashcraft thread. People praising his efforts with the 2 scoreless innings last night. Then there's always got to be that one guy that says something like, "I guess we've all moved from him being nothing more than AAA pitcher" and "CES is the worst player ever." They can't wait to throw it back in each other's face when they do something good or bad depending on their narrative at the time. The mudslinging can be a little much. In a lot of ways. One of the most toxic and childish forums I've ever witnessed. And anything less than "Joey Votto is the greatest player EVER!" is unacceptable.
No different than this place a lot of the time and some of the immature posters here.
I like redszone but there’s a lot of old guys who take a no nonsense approach. I like this place more
Have to disagree with you there. Especially when the trolls from other teams invade this place. I am guilty of using bad language on these boards, but RZ won't put up with that over there. Been a member there longer than over here.
LOL, we'll agree to disagree. There are very few people here (or who come here) who are anywhere near as bad as I've seen over there at RZ.

TF has his work cut out for him, but if anyone can turn it around it is him. He certainly knows how to get the right person in during whatever the situation calls.
The LU is pathetic though.
Reds have the prospect capital to trade for any hitter without taking on the salary with the stockpile of infielders and recently drafted college arms. FO just too hesitant to move any.
I just remembered I have an account there too. Went 14 years between now and my last post which would have put us right in the middle of Dusty Baker's run from 2010-13.
I know we have quite a few members here with the same screen names there I have interacted with. The site needs a major upgrade for sure. Most Reds forums get very little traffic, but the Red Guard is the biggest one with in-depth discussion. They are a little too serious for me who just wants to be a fan, so that is probably why I don't frequent that site as much as here.

I officially joined in 2018 although browsed for much longer. I got a mere 110 posts.
