I still wonder what would happened if RS hadn’t gone to the nba. Would he have stayed at UK or followed Cal to arky like the rest of the team. After his arkansas t-shirt crap, I’m not sure.

Reed was hurt part of this season, too. I'm a very casual follower of the NBA, but it seemed like he got in the doghouse for a few games, started getting double digit minutes and doing some nice things (Pts, Assists, steals, low TOs) and then got hurt and missed a few weeks. As another said, he had > 20 pts one of their last games in a win and, I think, had 7 assists last night (but no points).

Have no idea about Dillingham as I don't even look at the Wolves' scores, much less their box score.

They both did the right thing. Even if they flame out on their rookie contract, they'll have made millions. No guarantee that they'd been drafted as high this year or another year in college would have meant a longer NBA career.

Its interesting.. both these guys got drafted by teams that really don't need them today or even tomorrow. So both have an opportunity to learn without getting thrown to the wolves, like John Wall and the Wizards.

I thinknpart of Reeds problems were also what he had here, which was just building his confidence. I saw it when he was here and at the NBA. He just needs that moment where he says to himself "ok, I do belong here".

Boy that would have been a punch in the gut if he followed Cal

I’d love to see Reed play for a team he can get major minutes on. It’s just too stacked where he’s at. Having said that I do believe he gets enough playing time to average between 8-11 points. Rob on the other hand will probably average between 11-14.

Hey guys lets try to keep the conversation on basketball.

I know it's the fun thing to do right now to bash Reed but I truly feel he was just supporting his old coach. You forget he also had UK Shorts on. Kids do silly stuff and that's the bottom line.

I don't know what their averages will be, but it should be obvious to all that both should have stated another year in college. Neither player was close to being physically ready for the big leagues. If not for playing for former one-and-done university, they most likely would have stayed. Cal brainwashed his players into believing if they didn't leave after one season, they really weren't very good.

The hype on Reed was thru the roof for some strange reason. It was all over this board. It was in the media and was even coming from sources in the NBA. I kept thinking, "What are they seeing that I am not seeing?" In the end, they both went top 10 in the draft and you are claiming they were brainwashed by Cal?

I think he would have stayed at UK . I get it the Arkansas shirt thing made things complicated but I think he was just trying to be friendly towards both sides . Obviously a bad decision on his part in terms of angering one side . Had he put on all UK fans the Arkansas fanbase wouldn’t have cared and I’m sure Cal wouldn’t have . Should have just wore a regular outfit .

Hype by this fanbase was mainly because he was a talented kid from Kentucky .

I think the top 10 was because how weak the draft was . Had Reed been in this upcoming class it would have been different from the NBA

I don’t get the Reed hate. Dude wore a shirt for Cal. If he quit and went to Virginia next year Reed would wear a Virginia shirt. It’s about cal not the team. He’s loyal to both Cal and Kentucky. He didn’t realize how it would look because he’s young. You telling me you made sound decisions and took into account how it would look if you did something at 18-19? No.

Reed has been much better since coming back from injury. Guy has at least proven the 3 pt shot is there… probably just took time to transition from college to pros. And let’s remember both he and Rob are still young, so plenty of time to prove themselves before a second contract comes around.

Reed had to go

The experts on here said so

He got his money and he is set financially so good for him. IMO his bb career is basically over

If he loved playing the game at a high level he would have played 4 years at UK
