Reed Bailey to Indiana

Well darn, I had this fantasy idea that UK could land Bailey to either play alongside Folgueiras or with him in a dual PF frontcourt. Of course, I knew that was probably not realistic any more than Lendeborg and Folgueiras together.
I'm not saying UK will land Folgueiras - I have to see it confirmed publicly first. But I think if UK does get him and wants to land another PF it will have to be someone that accepts a backup role (which is a nice role the way Pope uses his depth). Moreover, I might be missing out on the fact that Kam Williams is already the 2nd unit PF for next season.

After that Sisk post about Bailey before he entered the portal, never heard more about him. Weird.

With Alvaro still no committed it does worry me
I personally prefer Alvaro out of the options at the 4, so it will all be ok if we sign him. We are getting to the point where it better be true that him signing is just a formality though, because that’s a huge need on the roster and the better backup plans are starting to dry up.
I’m sorry but the even the name Reed Bailey sounds like an IU player.
Even the first name puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Lol, I said the same thing. His name does combine two of Indiana’s most annoying players of my lifetime, Neil Reed & Damon Bailey. IU has always been his destiny.
Seems like we wanted one of Alvaro/Reed and the staff wants Alvaro. Reed got a Trilly prediction a few days ago to IU and doesn't seem UK has been serious for a few weeks.
Before his injury, Andrew Carr was a really good player--even dominant at times. We would not have beaten Duke or Gonzaga without Carr playing awesome. Having said that, Bailey would be an upgrade over Carr. He is more fluid and athletic, a quicker jumper and he can launch a decent three point shot without being totally wide open with his feet perfectly set. Hopefully, Folgueiras will commit to UK and bring those same qualities.
I just want all of you to know that loved this Bailey kid, his 3pt shooting wasnt as great as you think. He only made 17 of them so that 40% shooting was making 1 every other game. That isnt enough shots taken or made to keep any defender honest.
IU is like we were last year. Lots of roster spots available and lots of minutes available.
