Reed can wear any teams gear he wants. Does not change the fact that he gave us a year of his basketball life.

I hope he does well in what ever he does. Do not follow after UK career. Helping out his community is exactly where he needs to be. Shows his true self. Wearing gear or going to see Cal in Fayetteville has no bearings on who Reed is as a person.

I was as mad as anyone for what he did. But in the grand scheme of things there's people who lost homes, lives, and businesses last night and he came to help. He could have wrote a check and said I'm said I'm sorry. He showed up and did some dirty work. In my eyes I can forgive him.

Anyone who’s still taking it personally that he wore an Arkansas shirt needs to grow up. Some things are way bigger than sports. Reeds an awesome dude
I don’t think the problem was supporting his old coach or wearing Arky gear. I think it made it worse that it was on game day which anyone can down play it but that was a huge game we were ready to kick Arkys a**. Instead we had Reed wear Arky gear on top of his UK gear and then got absolutely destroyed that game to give them their first league win and start of their tournament run so that made it even worse. Wasn’t personal to me but simply bull crap that he would pull that on game day.

It stung for me at the time but I’m completely over it. Not gonna hold a grudge for a 20 year olds outfit choice especially when he’s clearly an awesome guy

The two things aren't related. He chose the enemy on game day, and he went back home to help the community. The two things aren't the same. As much as people may not realize it, the University of Kentucky is simply a school in commonwealth of Kentucky. Not every Kentuckyian is a card carrying member of BBN.

That’s nice of him to help his hometown but he’s still a razor back! I don’t hate him but he disrespected Kentucky and I’m a Kentucky fan. It’s not like it was AD or John Wall doing it so it never was that big a deal to me anyway. Oakland baby
Skyguyb27, I am appalled you let a sports team dictate your life that a kid puts on another teams jersey that his ONLY college coach is now their coach upsets you. Sir, you need to step back and place much more emphasis on your life than Kentucky basketball team. I probably love our Cats and support our Cats more than you, but damn the world does not rotate around a ball team. How is God's name does wearing ANY team's jersey disrespect the University of Kentucky? Remember most kids choose a University to play for based on the coach, not the school. Today NIL is another reason kids choose schools. If you personally were recruited hard by Cal and ou chose Cal as your coach, how would you not have a strong bond with that coach. Put your big boy pants on and get over what a 20 year old kid wears.

Well you might recall both of his parents played at UK and I think he did too if I recall.

Dude your still butt hurt from last time you tried to argue. I’m not playing your little games. If you wanna think you love the Cats more than me go ahead. I don’t care what Reed does with his life and care even less about . I wrote a lot more but I change it, you’re not worth it.

Plenty of people took it personal in the original thread showing him wearing the shirt .
I guess I skimmed over them. I think it was a slight towards the university but I understand it was a business decision, which I didn’t like. Oh well.

My point is, the commonwealth of Kentucky and the University of Kentucky aren't the same thing. So, the two things being discussed here aren't exclusive.
Sure, but few have had both parents play for and graduate from the same school their child played for. Further, he grew up a UK fan. Hell, his dad won a national title at UK. Your point doesn’t apply here very well.

Oh, my point applies. You simply don't understand it. No worries.

This. I didn't like the choice, but he's also young and prone to make mistakes.

He didn't need anyone's "forgiveness". Good freaking grief.

So just how did he disrespect UK? This should be amusing.

I didn't care for the look, but I'm not sure it amounted to pure disrespect.

Some fans that crapped on Reed for weeks probably defended Rick flipping off fans in Rupp.

The fact some of you wanna argue over what the others think and shame some for not liking his choices is asinine and childish.

Again, In your opinion. Who gives a **** what he did or didn’t do. Your acting like elementary school girls crying over what other peoples opinions are.

People have lost their homes and lives and acting like Reed needed to do this for "forgiveness" is sick. Welcome to a discussion board btw. We discuss opinions. First day here?
