Actually it does matter. When someone is spewing inaccurate information about medications, people may self-medicate and make things worse.

My information is correct. There is a ranking of addictive properties of narcotics just as I suggested. You want to pick on my view of how Xanax makes patients suffering from anxiety feel versus the strict pharmacology of what the drug does to the brain of which you so eloquently stated. Whatever. I'm sure you have had doctoral level pharmacology courses, have a DEA license, and can prescribe the meds you are talking about. I suspect you have none of those qualifications. I know all about these. I was prescribed hydrocodone after foot surgery. Thought I would get a free high. Didn't make me feel good at all. Quite the opposite. Nausea and imminent vomiting I'd what awaited me. I didn't believe it and tried a second dose. Mistake. Flushed the rest down the toilet. Asked the doc if I was allergic to it. She said no. Said it affects people differently.

My mother called me a few weeks ago to have "that talk". Her cancer, which was in remission, had come back. It was all over. She is terminal. She was getting her affairs in order. She has arranged housekeeping and hospice care. She's using opiates as well.

My wife has stage IV cancer. She's been on some experimental targeted chemo for a year now at a cost of $13k a month. She uses 3 different fentanyl patches, oxycodone and at least 10 other drugs daily to combat pain, nausea and all the side effects from the chemo.

They put acetaminophen in many of these opiates to discourage abuse. The junkies know how to separate the codeine from the acetaminophen. Those of you that chase hydrocodone with alcohol are idiots. Alcohol and acetaminophen will destroy your liver. Just a little PSA.

I've been nice up until now, but you really need to do some reading. You've been proposing the misuse of a medication during this entire thread and you need to stop. You WILL NOT receive benefit from Xanax if you present with depression with no anxiety symptoms. It will help with anxiety associated with depression, but will be used in conjunction with an antidepressant.

Anxiolytics aren't even considered 1st line treatment for anxiety, let alone depression. For anxiety, Drs. Will use an SSRI (antidepressant) 1st line due to the addictive properties of benzos. If you are treating patients 1st line with Xanax for anxiety or depression, you are about 25 years behind current therapies. ******* open up Medscape and do some reading, you dolt.

I highly doubt that Williams hopes that Dez or Calvin break their legs, tear an ACL or get caught up in drugs. Especially after developing a relationship with them over a year or two. And if he wants those things to happen, then he is a **** human. Also, to clarify, not having 'love' for Dez is completely different than wanting Dez to ruin his life by getting into drugs or ruining his career by tearing his knee up.

Yes, I want the players to have mean streaks. But I don't want our players to want opponents to get suspended or hurt before the game. I would much rather have players that want to compete against the best at their best and beat them that way. One way is being a coward and the other is not.

Again, I can't believe I have to make this distinction, having a mean streak or being a hard-nosed player like Suh/Riola/Peter/Incognito/etc is very different than celebrating a kid getting charged with a felony for getting caught up in drugs or for tearing an ACL and losing his future. Also, you are not a player. You shouldn't think of yourself as Jason Peter-esq and celebrate being a 'savage.' You are a dude on a message board, not a player.

Caring little about your opponent does not equal celebrating an opponents drug dealing conviction. The difference is pretty drastic.

You're right I'm not a player. But I did play football at a high level. My dad was a 3 year starter for the Huskers. I currently compete in submission sports and train with 10-11 current UFC and Bellator fighters. So I get having the right mentality to compete in contact sports that require much more than physical traits.

But I respect your post and appreciate the dialogue.

I couldn't be happier right now. Hope he gets dropped from Texas and has to scramble to play at some crappy school or go JUCO.

You see, some of you are the type who gets dumped by the girl a week before prom and you wish her well and hope that she has a great time with the other guy. I'm the type who prays she gets knocked up that night and graduates senior year as a fatter, miserable 18 year old single mom whose boyfriend already left town.
