Was last nite a turning point of sorts....?

Between Pope actually showing some fire and sitting BG I think it could be...

Time will tell as the competition increases

It could be a start. Hard to tell against inferior competition.

But hopefully it was the start of some new good habits and breaking the bad ones.

We will see how it translates on Saturday.

It has to show up in the next game and each subsequent game after that. 1 game doesn't prove anything. The season is a marathon not a sprint. We'll find out Saturday if they took a step in the right direction. Indiana isn't a Gonzaga or Michigan State but they do have good players and are well coached.

It is easy to get emotional in a game that is a blowout. You can freely take players out for not hustling.
When they play a good team and you still see the substitution pattern when players are not playing hard, then it becomes believable.

I didn’t see anything out of the players yet. Our offense is so stagnant but when Lowe was in it opened things up but that’s easy against a zone. I think we lose to Indiana but last night I saw a little fire out of Pope and I liked it.

Sounds backwards to me, a good close game with Indiana, and anyone not giving there all, while in the game, should have there as.,parked on the bench, Garrison or who ever. I'll get that emotion against IU, not Po Dunk High. I think the fans have made Pope show this emotion, and it was time.

I loved that Pope showed some fire, I hope he shows this all year, but turning point? No- they are supposed to do what they did last night and they have beaten up the teams they are supposed to all season. A turning point will be if they come out against IU and don't get embarrassed like they have all season against anyone with a pulse

The only informative thing from last night was Pope immediately benching Garrison when he jogged back on defense after a turnover where he was the closest Cat to the ball & other basket.

So ask again after IU &/or SJ games.

Liked some of his lineups & his taking garrison off the floor.
NCC was so bad it's hard to gauge.
After IU & St. Johns we will know which way the season will go.
