From the way all of the posts I have read about him, it sounds like he is still in school. Does anyone know if this is a fact, or has he left school too. I have not read anywhere that he has left school.

Sorry guys. Title was supposed to say Regie not review. Autocorrect strikes again.

Is school even in session now? When does the summer session end? and the fall semester start?

I hope he stays in school. I read 1 post somewhere, or maybe it was an article, that said he was not expected back. I don't remember where I read that at. I am pretty sure it was an article and not in a thread though.

I have heard that he is in Haiti taking care of his younger siblings.

I would assume if there weren't already problems he could skip the fall and pass the spring (and summer?) and be eligible next fall.

I think Thug U did that with their five star Jantzen to clear up his drug problems (hopefully this is more family or other problems) but he didn't last long and ended up with a murder charge after he left for good. Just another one of those kids that deserved a second chance (third, fourth, etc, he was a five star you know) I guess, should have transferred to Transfer U, probably no problems there AND someone would still be alive-----maybe.

Wouldn't he need to withdraw from school to stop his athletic clock? If he stays in school wouldn't that count towards a year of progress regardless if he plays sports?

I think the relevant thing would be he has five years to complete his eligibility (no injury delay) and he was in the 13 class so he could enroll in the spring semester and play the 17 season I believe, that would be it. I'm not sure if he redshirted or not but I don't think it matters.unless he got an injury year, not a factor at present.

Question for the OP, when I post a new thread I can't seem to edit the title, the post no problem, did you have the same problem?

Yes that is correct. I think that is just how it is. I wish you could edit the title too but as far as I know that isn't possible

That is correct . I don't think there is anyway possible to correct a problem in a thread title. The mods be able to do it, I don't know

The eligibility clock never stops once you start your first semester of eligibility.

The "clock" continues no matter if he's in school or not. If he is still in school it will no matter what count against his eligibility. If however, it's a case of illness/ death/ financial hardship in the immediate family and he has to leave school, he would be able to apply for a hardship waiver and get the year of eligibility back (similar to medical hardship) and get a 6th year. It's regulated in the NCAA Division 1 manual "12.8 Seasons of Competition: Five-Year Rule"

To the left of the post new thread button is an unwatch thread button. If you created the thread there should be a wrench right next to it on the left with a drop down. It should bring up 2 options of edit title or add poll. You can edit the title there.

You're welcome. I did the same thing one time and just figured there had to be a way to edit it. It isn't very intuitive.
I have looked before myself and never found that, and I am sure many others have as well. It is not intuitive at all. Jack was the one that asked me and I didn't think it was possible. But know I know it is. I don't start many threads myself but I had a question.

Religious service such as Mormon missions too. Maybe Peace Core.
It doesn't stop, but military and other things mentioned here are also listed as reasons for possible hardship waivers. In either case you have to apply, so nothing is automatic.

yeah if it is a desperate family situation it is very possible if he returns an application can be submitted to the NCAA to get a 6th year of eligibility & it would be successful
