Regionalist vs. Stupidity at the AP

I have never given much weight to the AP poll outside of 8A and 7A because there is sooo much regional “homerness” for writers to vote for their region in different parts of the state...
With no disrespect intended towards Montini Catholic...How did 1 of the 10 5A pollsters vote Montini #1 over ESL??
All is opinion until November when it matters, but acknowledge a STL area team has earned your vote...rant over

None taken. I stated these polls hold no weight, and everything is sorted out in November. It is just a recurring regional chest pumping. East st has a dozen D1 kids, is top team in state from several outlets(which is just best guess), but it is the same thing when a few downstate AP pollers wouldn’t vote for IC when they returned most of their team and absolutely rolled through 3A the previous season. These class polls mean nothing because they are always sorted out at the end of the year. We will always have a fun discussion for top team in state at years end...
