I used to change the oil in 1978 Mercedes 240D. I was trying for 1,000,000 miles, but my wife told me to get rid of it when it had 680,000 miles

Need some deets. Manual, I trust?

Took 2 years of digging but finally got my hands on a 991.2 GTS 7mt a few months ago…..shewweeee it’s a blast.

Also have a mint/stock 98 Supra TT 6mt as well, but it is quite tame by comparison.
Your pockets are deeper than mine. Nice cars!

Mine is a '08 4s with Tiptronic. Recently was looking at an '09 4s 6sm at Toy Barn outside Columbus OH but it was ridiculously expensive what they wanted. 997 4s' are hard to find with manual transmissions.

Conventional oils are now all Syn Blends for the most parts. Either will get the job done fine for the most part. If your new car calls for a synthetic then use it. Most newer cars have a oil quality monitor that you can scroll to on menu. Just get your oil changed when it gets down under 20% or so. All brands are pretty good now days - just make sure it has a API donut and marked at least SN
