Reidsville vs RJ Reynolds

Reynolds coaches was at the game Friday and they are very confident in their team this week. Reidsville won’t blow them out like last year, but I believe they (Reidsville) will pull it out in a close one.

W-S Reynolds arrives Friday with a 2-1 record after romping to a 49-0 win over Winston-Salem Prep Thursday night.
Reynolds lost its opener to Southwest Guilford and then beat W-S Atkins and Prep.
Coach Pat Crowley was quoted in the Winston-Salem Journal:
“We were frustrated with our first-game loss to Southwest Guilford and, not that were looking past Atkins or Prep, but we wanted to come in here and take care of business and hopefully not get anyone injured so we can be at full strength for Reidsville next week. Now the competition level is rising, and we have to be ready to step up.”

David Lawson, a 6-3, 270-pound senior who will be playing on Saturdays next fall, was injured early in the season opener and has missed the last two games. He is on the recovery road but I'm not sure when he'll be back in action.
This is an important game for both teams.

And the Rams will find out whether they are once again a contender or just a pretender for a 2A or 2AA Championship. And from what I am hearing Reidsville may well be 2AA this year for the playoffs.

Mule unless we've jumped way up in enrollment or other schools have dropped way off, I don't see how wellw be 2aa. We were way under the mark last fall
I don’t think A lost would mean they are a pretender. They are young on top of battling injuries right now. Some are playing with minor Injuries that most fans don’t even know about. Even with all of that I believe we will win

Very few teams come into Community Stadium in Reidsville and go home with a win.
Well, we will not have to be concerned about Winston Salem Reynolds any more as they decided not to renew their series with Reidsville.
Guess they got tired of losing to a little 2A school.
Replacing them with E. Surry starting next year.

I read on another post that people from Shelby believe reidsville is a lock to represent the west in 2a just because 2a is trash. Is this being said just bc they are 1-3 and trying to already discredit reidsville before anything has been played out. Maybe we can play shelby and beat them down on their down season like they did the rams few years ago. And trashed us ever since. No respect and many classless acts over years by Shelby fans saying rams only win in the East and because of weak schedule. But rams beat whoever they play consistently east or west. And have won titles on both sides in 2a or 2aa.
Reidsville has a real problem getting teams to play them.

I’m fine with playing east Surry. But it’s 2 things.
1. The rams will be very very good next year.
2. I’m hoping we are playing a powerhouse team next year, or something close, because the current schedule and adding east Surry isn’t good enough
Yes, E. Surry is replacing Winston Salem Reynolds.
Don't know about any other possible changes yet.
The Reidsville JVs are playing the E. Surry JVs this year.
