wanted to silence free speech. Wonder why that is? Why have libs always hated and continue to loath a free and open expression of thoughts and ideas? Is the number one threat to Progressivism questions?

To be fair, it is more of the liberal side of the fence stifling speech if they feel it goes against progressive ideals. You see it all across the campuses. I listen to comedians complain all the time about the "talk" they get before performing on campuses about what is and is not acceptable to joke about. I don't know what the OP was talking about, but the Libs do seem to be the majority offenders for attacking ideals, speech, and emotions contrary to what they feel is acceptable.

He was referring to Tipper's (in)famous campaign to get warning labels put on albums with songs that included profanity and references to sex, masturbation, drug use, violence, etc.

It starts with a warning sticker, then it moves to a campus protest, then having a speaker like Condi Rice banned from speaking at colleges, then having a film like American Sniper banned from college campuses, and the list continues to grow. For a group of people that preach tolerance and the free exchange of ideas, they sure don't put their preachings into practice

"I may not agree with what you say but I will defend with my life your right to say it"........when did that go by the wayside?.....Condi Rice can't speak at Rutgers but Marquette can idolize a fugitive criminal.....and Philadelphia school children can write fan letters to a cop killer......now who's drinking their breakfast?
