When saying X or Y has a tough road (and I cannot believe no analyst ever brought this up), remember, your elite 8 match-up (if you get there) is always tough. Is Duke is a 2, I could care less who is the 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, or 16 is. Look at your half of the bracket.
When the talking heads say a 1 seed has a tough road, and it is because they have a tough 2, 3, 6, 7, and/or 10, I just shake my head.
And why do people think a top seed should get a free ride to the elite 8? It is all about matchups and any seed 10 or above is capable of knocking off anyone in a one-game shot.
Finally, saying x-team lives and dies by the three and y will lose if a bad shooting night: 1. Does not every team live and die by what they do best and 2. If you have a bad shooting night, ANY team has a good shot to lose.
