If you cannot do the minimum to be NCAA eligible, you are either not even remotely trying or you are dumber than a bag of hammers. I bet it was the former.
That is my point. A "student" athlete literally has to just go through the motions without any real thought to meet the minimum academic standards. Literally anyone short of being special needs can do it, so I doubt he is that stupid and most likely didn't even bother doing the kabuki theater necessary.
What more could we have done for him? Sometimes you can be given to much, it goes to your head, and you lose sight of what your responsibility is, in respect to what opportunity has been presented to you.
