Not sure what your pocketbook situations is but if you've got the coin then the candybar machine at the bus stop has melted snickers bars if you really want to impress her. Worked for me.

You could go down to Tony Ruby’s if’n you want to drop $80 on a piece of cooked cow and a wedge of lettuce. Or is it Jeff Tony’s? Or Ruby Jeff’s? I don’t know, but if you want to be featured in TOPS magazine, there’s pretty much only one answer.
ok one thing I don't miss about living in Lexington? TOPS in LEXINGTON DOT COM!

Man, The Paddock is brutal.

I’ll throw out my favorite restaurant in the city- Giuseppe’s if you like Italian.

Other than that, just do Malone’s if you’re wanting a variety of good food. Or do the Applebee’s suggestion if you don’t want to overwhelm your Eastern Kentucky girlfriend.

Any you guys ever tried The INTERNATIONAL House of Pancakes? I was a little intimidated at first as I don't speak any foreign languages. I tried some High School French out on the waitress seating us but she just looked at me so I think I got it wrong. If you don't mind the prissy European high brow stuff then I highly recommend it.

I still remember when the first IHOP opened in Lexington and Louisville folks were going "LOL THEY JUST GOT AN IHOP!!!!!" as if freaking pancakes are what made a city a good place to live.

For brunch or lunch, Minton's. Serious answer. Most everything I've had there has been great, but the hot brown was just average. Top 4 in no particular order: Elvis Pancakes, Sweet Potato Hash, Buffalo Grilled Cheese, and Pork Tacos. YWIA.

You’re going to the game? Geez, you guys are some night owls. I couldn’t stay up that late for Mississippi State if you injected me with an eighth of coke.

Anywhere but KSbar. That place is God awful.

I went there once with some friends and had a salad and it was fine (I mean hard to mess that up).

But I was visiting Lexington about a year ago and ordered a burger from there on DoorDash and it was horrible. The house made chips were good but that burger was inedible.

Tony’s right accross from Rupp. It’s a little pricey but the food is good, the atmosphere is decent & you can have a few drinks & then just walk to Rupp.

Any Shell Station in town. Just google the locations. They are known for their great hot dogs and wide selection of sodas.

I like Corto Lima. If you're in the mood for Tacos and a mango margarita they can't be beat but they are a little pricey for portion size.
