So this chicken sammie thread has got me thinking.

What restaurants have you been to in other cities that we need to get in Omaha?

I’ll be in favor of:

Gus’s fried chicken
Habit Burger
Epic Burger
Whataburger
Leeann Chin

Bring classic Oso Burrito back to Lincoln. I used to travel to Lincoln for Oso, buy like 7 burritos at a time.

there is nothing close here anymore, it's depressing.

I cannot remember the name of the place. It might be Taco Cabana? Either way, we NEED better Mexican Restaurants in Omaha

What are you talkimg about?? We have a zillion of em
He said better. He’s not wrong. We don’t need more Abelardo’s taking over every shelled out Wendy’s, and abandoned Dairy Queen in town. La Mesa is comically bad.

For this being a beef and pork state, our barbecue scene is pretty weak.

Fair enough...

Tried the new joint in downtown Louisville? Solid.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is so damn good.

I'll add Portillo's to the list. I was surprised Minneapolis has some. I strangely do think Virtuoso in Benson/Omaha has better italian beef subs tho.

Yuengling Beer. Not a restaurant, but would be a nice option.

M&N sandwich shop in Lincoln WAS the ****. Norm was the grumpiest f@cker you could ever meet, but was a Chicago transplant that made wonderful Italian beef.

In and Out 🍔

Just kidding overrated!
I worked at a gym and once a year the employees went to an all-day fitness seminar at the LA Convention Center where we renewed out CEUs for personal training or aerobics teaching. It was basically 10 hours of grueling aerobics and weightlifting classes. On the way home we always stopped at in-N-Out to eat and I got a triple triple and large box of fries. Damn that was good, but I ate that kind of crap only once a year. Hard to believe some people eat there several times a week.

A vegan bbq place would be nice. Nothing quite like bbq tofu.
