Hey , just got back from Bragg, my son made First Sgt ! In charge of 160 men. He’s only been in 13 years almost got E8.
Hey Show. Congrats man. I know you are one proud dad! Yes he is freaking smoking up the ranks. He beat me by 1.5 years. I did get busted twice for dumb crap. Man that is awesome! I'm heading down to Bragg at the end of the month. One of my former Squad Leaders is a Brigade CSM.Hey , just got back from Bragg, my son made First Sgt ! In charge of 160 men. I'm going to school here in Marietta, and we had 2 recruiters that showed up. Show, I lost my mind on both of them. Talking to the class with both hands in their pockets like they were back on the block. I pulled the SSG out in the hallway and told him about how freaking unprofessional he was. Dude had me fired up.
Ahhh, come on now. It couldn't have been that bad lol. I was in 20th Engr Bde Airborne on Smoke Bomb hill. We use to run over to Deuce land all the time and pass their formations lol.All the way!!!
I don't miss 82nd pt
You are absolutely right, that's your son.Pisgah, He's my Step son but I love him like he's mine. His father died when he was young, He's MY boy now.
That and Squad Leader no doubt. All "Top" has do do is keep those platoon sergeants in line, along with the CO lol.OORAHH, He beat me by 5 years. 1SG is one of the most rewarding but, the toughest jobs in the US ARMY in my opinion. Here is hoping he is very successful!!
OFC
You are correct. Sometimes newbys will try a squad leader. I had a change of command while a 1SG. The new commander was a ROTC 1st LT. He called me in his office and explained his expectations of me and then said you are excused. I said I don't think so sir, here is what I expect of you. We got along fine after that. That and Squad Leader no doubt. All "Top" has do do is keep those platoon sergeants in line, along with the CO lol.

Show! What up. I'm still trying to get the video to play lol. Man awesome looking, squared away, Airborne Paratrooper right there. Is that a Pathfinder Badge I see as well? Lol, another carrier of the torch as we say lol. And great looking support system he is holding on to. Man thanks for sharing.
I was watching videos on YouTube of Airborne jumps, and the wife said you miss it huh? I told her she is lucky to have me because Paratroopers are special lol.
I'm going to let him slide for not being Fast Rope Master qualified or Rappel Master since I know he hasn't spent any time at Ft. Campbell with the mighty 101st Screaming Eagles Lol. Let him know I told you that lol. He is good with me for the Pathfinder Badge and for sure the Drill Sergeant Badge. Tough schools and duty for sure. I miss those days. I was pretty dang decorated for being a Sapper, including earning the Sapper Tab. So I know how hard he has worked just for the 2 I listed. Drill Sergeant is one tough special duty. I would love to sit down and have a talk with him. Man, you have a true warrior on your hands.Pathfinder, Expert Infantryman, Air Assault, Airborne, Drill Sergeant, Drivers Badge and Weapons Qualification. 6 badges
Look, in case you didn't read through the thread, this is about a long time member here whose son is doing great things as a soldier. People are congratulating him on his son's service and accomplishments. So nobody gives a rats *** about a dang bar you worked at in Fayetteville, NC. You probably also worked Bragg Blvd. Take your job resume somewhere else, this is not the thread for it.Leah D used to work at the Cue and Ale when it was a nice place . Cried when it became the Tin Man. Yechh! Oh well! Now I'm at the Ale House. It's okay, but nothing like the old days
I’m sorry for whatever Leah did to you that you’ve come here trying to publicize her, but I’m sure you have a different cousin that might not turn you down.I will gladly buy him a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees at the Ale House Monday through Thursday if he sits in my section! Just ask for Leah!
Man Fear, wtf is wrong with this dude? I'm planning on going to Fayetteville next month to visit my brother. I think I'm going to go put eyeballs on this Leah D.I’m sorry for whatever Leah did to you that you’ve come here trying to publicize her, but I’m sure you have a different cousin that might not turn you down.
