Can anyone explain why FG ( good or bad) cant be reviewed but yet TDs and other events can. Look I think it was the right call but on the replay I wasn’t so sure.

The 1st Qtr was very enjoyable and when OU went up 17-0 I felt very confident. Then of course all hell broke loose. I think this game changed when OU was up 17-7 and Mateers pass to X was dropped. I told my family then that was a game changer. Had OU went up 24-7 I think OU wins.

When Mateer threw that pick 6 it deflated the entire team in my opinion. You could even see it on BV face. From that point it effected even the D. To allow Bama 27 unansewed points was the dagger. The offense went dead ( give Bama D credit ) as they started getting dominated by the. Bama pressure. Something we have seen all season that Mateer struggles with.

If I had one thing outside of that to boil my blood was the multiple missed false starts on Bama that was obvious as day and night. Add in the missed holds that led to big Bama plays just makes me wonder what the heck these refs were watching. This games missed penalties ( OU got by with stuff also ) ultimately wasn’t why OU lost but it sure didn’t help the OU cause.

Great season but again a fall ( 0-5) in the CFBP era for OU. This ranks right up there with the OU loss to UGA in OT. Time is running out for many of us older folks and I just want to see OU win a dang playoff game and another NC would be icing on the cake.

FG's can be reviewed, but only if they're lower than the top of the goal posts. Anything beyond the top is as much conjecture as the guy looking at it in person. It appeared that the fg was over the top of the upright, and was therefore the correct call. It sucked.

The season was better than expected due to :
1. Most qb we faced were very inexperienced and BV is good at confusing a young qb .
2 . The defense put together huge effort week after week .
3. Special teams were great , especially our kickers
4. We lived on these young inexperienced qb to make a mistake ( interception , fumble , etc ). See OU -Alabama bowel game years ago .
Sooner or later items 1-4 would fail -> loss .
it used to be our defense seemed mostly to function just to give our offense a rest ( Baker Mayfield times ).
Now our offense Is only there to rest our defense . Neither is way to win a NC . It does seem our best players (4-5 star ) are defensive players , while our offensive players(2-3 star ) , are injury prone players from DIV 3 schools . Maybe we are getting just what we paid for.
