Great camp well run and the rain went away early on last night at North Central College ion downtown Naperville.

This was hosted by the North Central College coaches along with the entire Iowa State staff, a few grad assistants from Michigan (guess we don't rate to draw actual coaches?) plus coaches from Illinois State and a few smaller schools.

Overall numbers? Id say around 200 or so maybe closer to 225....again just the right amount of kids here.

So who impressed?

Underclassmen

DB Derric Lee Waubonsie Valley- the junior to be has terrific speed, quickness and is just a high level athlete. Does very well in drill work and is also a terrific cover guy. No question Lee will become a D1 guy with a chance to land several offers. Top 10-20 potential in the Class of 2018.

QB Drew Clippert Aurora Christian- was my first time seeing Clippert in person. Throws a very good ball, looks to have touch and has some real upside.

QB Drake Davis Bureau Valley- has been on the 7on7 circuit for awhile. Davis overall height/size will keep most D1 and some 1AA away but Davis also might throw one of the best footballs I saw all camp. Great arm, ball explodes out of his hand and Davis is also very accurate. Could be a nice get for say mid D2 or higher level NAIA schools....and at least ability wise could play at the FCS level.

DB Tyrik Henderson Glenbard North- been a big fan of Henderson for a long time now....did nothing to disappoint here.

QB Ben Bryant Lyons Township- another well known name on the radar screen already. Bryant has good size is mobile and throws it well. Bryant will no question draqw D1 level looks and interest from here on out.

WR Garrett Despot Metea Valley- the Mustangs always have athletes and Despot no question caught my eye here. Will need to see some film to get a better idea on him but did well here.

QB Samson Evans Prairie Ridge- another well known name, Evans to me will be more of an athlete type when it comes to recruiting. Evans throws it well but to me his recruiting value comes from his overall athletic potential and abilities.

DL Noah Shannon Oswego- another big, strong kid from Oswego. Shannon also had very good underclassmen video and will be a name to watch this summer. I could see him add some FCS level offers soon. Just battled in one on ones.

OL Wyatt Blake Crystal Lake Central- been seeing this kid mentioned all over the place but this was my first up close eyeballing him. Blake has really goods size moves well for a kid that big. I was expecting Blake to be more of a OT body type but seems to me more on an interior guy. Had some good moments and some not so good moments in one on ones but hung in and battled all comers. No question a higher level FBS offer type.

OL Jimmy Wormsley Jacobs- just a blue collar kid who comes to work at everything I see him at. Needs to improve his overall quickness when it comes to his footwork but also lots to like here. An interior OL type at the next level.

QB Quincy Patterson Solorio- already is drawing offers. Great sized kid who automatically passes the eyeball test. Still has a lot of work to do as a QB and needs to improve his overall fundamentals etc but the upside physically is impressive. Overall physical tools alone makes Patterson a high level FBS name.

WR Mason Keenan LW East- really speedy receiver. Showed great quickness and feet in drill work.

QB Zachary Stevens Nazareth Academy- good sized kid good arm and overall touch. Had some questions about Nazareth and QB for 2016 but after seeing Stevens upclose...not so much. Roadrunners will be fine at QB with Stevens in 2016.
