Yeah, it's a bummer. He has had a hard time staying on the field and never quite looked right to me this year. As Bill says, the best ability is dependability, so I'm not sure how much longer he'll be in New England. They seem to really like him, though, and he is signed up for two more years after this, so I hope he is able to bounce back next season.
I have a suspicion that Rex's post football career will be even more successful than his football career. He's just that kind of guy. He plays though because he loves the game. Rex. Enunwa.. We get those kind of guys with the coach we have now and we'll have something.
Yeah, he'd make a great ambassador for Husker football and even more of an ambassador for Team Jack.

Nice info. He's set. The neck thing is a bummer. I'm still paying 43 years later for a sore neck I had my senior year of high school. Back then they put one of those collars on you and ran you back out there...more than likely with a protruded disc. I'm bone on bone in 2 disc spaces now. Should have em fused.
He runs too upright and presents a clear target. I have seen him get hit, and it isn't pretty. Quit now and move on, he's got nothing left to prove.
The other thing I've always wondered is what does he weigh in season. I'm not a huge guy and standing next to him during the tunnel walk when he was a senior my estimation was that he was about my size at the time and I only weighed about 180 back then. I know he probably put on some mass for the combine but man he's not huge for an NFL RB.
