Marist frosh finished undefeated as well. Must be a lot of frosh talent in that area this year.

Hey now, I was just throwing it out there. Just giving kudos to Badke and coaches for running a system the kids have bought into. I've been around long enough to know its not indicative to what happens in the future.

Yes but more times than not a Frosh/Soph record indicates how they will do as Varsity - yes there are anomalies. Congrats to the Freshman Crusaders. Impressive margins too

I think it's a fair enough observation.

How did STL's juniors do as freshmen? I've heard STL is a junior dominated team, which sure can help the varsity performance of the senior class you cited.

Yeah you could be right, there are only 13 seniors according to maxpreps and 30 juniors.
I don't know how the juniors faired as frosh as sophs they were 7-2.
I stole the info from the article when the QB's dad passed away, it mentioned how he stuck with football after experiencing 0-8 frosh season.

I think Laurence juniors were 8-1 as frosh. that 7-2 soph record keep in mind they had many up so next year they will have many 3rd year Varsity players.

Frosh records mean nothing other than it is nice for those kids. Team A could go undefeated while team B goes 3-6 and has something like 12 talented Frosh on their Sophomore team....like Loyola's current senior class had moved up a bunch of kids as freshmen. Why people point out lower level records as some kind of indicator of future success is beyond me it means nothing except for those kids, sort of like saying the White Sox AA affiliate won the midwest league...who gives a rip.

the records are like 35% of the equation. you have players up, who were hurt, transfers in or out, kids deciding not to play, coaching , were the scores competitive, how they fit into the system on V level etc

For example, I saw JC frosh play at Marist, they lost the game and not sure what their overall record was but they have key personnel I saw that will fit into their system at V level-specifically the backfield and TE.
