Dang I'm old. Listening to the game on the radio and I am loving it! Just like the good ole days!
No doubt. There are exceptions to every rule, but 95% of time throughout history, this has usually been the way it has worked.
Bottom line...Richmond came in already prepared to play in a game like this, while Dudley is still trying to get up to speed with the huge upgrade in competition. This game will help Dudley immensely down the road, but they have some wide eyes tonight.
And for anyone who hasn't figured it out yet...Richmond is pretty damn good this year.
It probably SHOULD be 21-0 Raiders. The blown short field opportunity and the fake punt are two huge swings in this game. If Richmond ends up losing this one, they won't have to look very far to see where it went wrong for them.
Dudley is still in it, but their offense didn't produce much at all in the 1st half. The Dudley D looks like they are finally getting Richmond's speed figured out and are getting some stops, but they can't win this if they don't find some offense somewhere. You can't keep counting on fake punts for all your points.

That's now 2 short field opportunities that Richmond has failed to convert. Can't let good teams hang around like that when you have the chance to put them away.
And now Richmond has a 15 yard personal foul penalty to extend a drive after stopping Dudley on 4th and 10.
And now a 15 yard face mask extends the drive once again.
Dudley converts the TD, but short-arms the throw on the 2 PT try. Richmond still up 14-12, but killing themselves with stupid football so far in this half.
