Why not just let Riley go early. Undoubtedly he is going to get fired shortly after the Iowa game anyway, and why prolong the agony. Why have him stand on the sidelines against Penn State and Iowa, as it has to be humiliating for him at this point. They should just get it over with, appoint a temporary head coach and be done with it.

I agree. MR is doing more harm than good. Players have given up. It is hard to see MR on the sideline in agony looking defeated. He knows he is already fired.

There is one reason. He earned it with his poor coaching. He deserves the whipping he is gonna take.

FFS we don’t fire him because it isn’t what Moos believes in. He has said this in every interview he has done. All you have to do is pay attention to literally any interview he has basically done as the Nebraska AD. He has said unless the coach has some conduct issue, he will not be fired because it shows the players that the administration is quitting on them.

Whether or not you agree with him, it doesn’t matter because he gets to decide what happens and when it happens. So, just like has been said for the past roughly month, his fate (either firing or resigning), will happen after the Iowa game. I can almost guarantee he will have to say the exact same thing this week in some interview, and then yet again after the Ped State game because people have such a hard time listening, comprehending, and/or believing anything Moos says.

I want Riley to finish out the season. I want there to be zero doubt from anyone at all. I want him to lose his last four. I want no one anywhere at all to have a regret or a doubt. No one should be left wondering, 'what if'. No one should be saying 'you are making a mistake here'. There should be no other choice AT ALL.
