Honestly, he was the blue collar mans wrestler, maybe one of the few legitimate tough bastards in the game. Didn't give one damn what he looked like out there, and as far as entertainment goes, he did the job.

I have a weird thing with wrestling. Don't watch it currently but did as a kid and for some reason I can't get enough of the history it.

Some of those old promos with Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair in the old days are outstanding.

Old Georgia championship wrestling on wtbs (early cable) with announcer Gordan Sole was awesome for me as a kid. American Dream and Mr Wrestling 2 were my favs.

The guy would "blade" without hesitation and would end up looking a bloody mess by the end of many matches. Back when I used to usher at the Fair Grounds arena, during the Mid-South era, he showed up a couple of times as kind of a "special guest." He could certainly work a crowd.
