That was her day.I was working a 2nd shift job at the time, was fairly poor, and so I had only 4 or 5 broadcast channels on my 19 inch black and white TV that was given to me. So once I was up at about noon each day the only thing on were the soap operas. I watched Ryan’s Hope, All My Children, One Life To Live, and General Hospital every weekend afternoon for a couple of years. So, yeah, I was well aware of the Luke and Laura craze.

My mother and grandmother were both avid (read: fanatical) General Hospital fans. In summer, 1983 Rick Springfield performed outdoors in Hopkinsville. Took my girlfriend to the show. Decent performance, as I recall. My mom found out and became crazy envious. Good old days.I was in high school when "Luke and Laura" hit... even us jocks were watching it after school.
