Oh he was a good one. I take him over Brett Favre I don't care what anybody says. He was one of the individual players that made the NFL great. A perfect team mate and winner who played for the greatest coach ever. RIP Mr.Quarterback.

May want to re-check that, Donfather. As I understand it, Starr wanted to play for Bear when he coached UK, but Bryant went on to coach TAMU Aggies for 4 years. Starr committed to Bama because he wanted to stay instate near his future wife. Bryant's first season at Bama came in '58. Starr graduated from Alabama in '56.

And this was the real reason Mr and Mrs Bryant moved to Texas. The cigarette lighter and Cadillac Story is about as as true as the tooth fairy climbing the bean sprout and blowing down the three little pigs house made of sticks.

But it was a good story none the less with 95% of the people believing it.. But ABC had a mighty fine daughter so they say.
