I was in Alamogordo, NM a couple months after he was hired at TT. While stanidng in line at a convienience store, two guys in back of me were all decked out in Texas Tech gear from top to bottom. I congratulated them on such a great hire as their new head coach. Niether guy knew what the hell I was talking about, nor had they ever heard of Bobby Knight.
